Dragonfly in the Sun in My Backyard

I am not sure of the species. But this dragonfly was using this twig as a perch, leaping off to grab prey, then landing in the same spot. I put the camera on Macro, reached up as close as I thought I could without it fleeing, and snapped a pic. Yes, this and most of the other bug photos are cropped out of a larger original. Taken October 23, 2009
