Green Heron (Butorides virescens) along Anhinga Trail, Everglades National Park, Florida, USA

A green heron has been in this exact spot along Anhinga Trail (the raised platform at Royal Palm Visitor Center) in The Everglades each time I visit for years. This is November 29, 2009. I think it is tossing a small fish in the air so it can gobble it down headfirst.
