Sigh. Ebob tells us this morning that she volunteered to help out at the Try Baseball thingy tonight. It would have been nice to know earlier... She'll have to walk down so I can balance all the other stuff we have on a Friday afternoon. And she wants to post bowl (bowling is on at the same time as Try Baseball) next week. How to fit that in too! Kids!!

Hey Everyone...Looks like I made it back to the pages just in time to wait for news that Vici has arrived across the pond ...I'll be back and forth a lot more in the next few days....still into baseball since my team has won and will be playing in the World Series....still trying to catch up somewhat so I'll have some idea of what's going on. I'm not jumping onto the freeway until I know that she made her connection... 33' isn't a lot of time!
Have no idea how to check that other than to presume she will ring if she takes a later flight...
Luckily it takes less time to drive to Tullamarine airport than it does to fly from Sydney!
The house looks like bomb site but Vici's bed is made and clear...

ha ha...of course she has landed...June told you half an hour ago... took me a while to post and you've dang well turned another page!!

BTW I am presuming that Terminal 3 is no where near terminal 1... it is so long since I have flown to Sydney!

I'm laughing here and thought I would share it with you. Maybe a bit of TMI but you can stop reading now if you want. My next door neighbour is a bit of a flirt, but all talk, we hope. Today we both had the same idea at the same time - the old lady should have her blanket off as it's getting hot. I didn't know he was already there (even though she was in my back yard, guess I've got a blind spot from here) so I went out in a T-shirt with no stopsemfromfloppin. When I saw he was there I thought it would look a bit rude if I turned around and went back inside so kept going up the back. He almost ran away!! Scared him to death! This from a man who mows the lawn in his undies..

So glad that Vici made it safely. Hope she makes her connection. Wish I was with her.

I will definetly post pictures as soon as possible after the luncheon. As to the suggestion of one of the beasties taking pictures, only if you want to see fingers for every shot. They are not the best. I will get someone to take a group photo of everyone.

I was talking to Tricia on the MSN earlier in the week Julie. She was okish....... but then we were talking about other things then her health, ie my mum's health.

Suzy, the youtube you linked was certainly sad! Seems there are other similar ones, but I just couldn't bear to investigate them.

Sorry to hear about Don Lane. Didn't know him or about him, but sounds like he's one American who made a positive impact on Oz.

Cyn, sorry to hear of the death anniversary of your favorite cousin. A candle seems a nice way to commemorate the day, along with remembering favorite moments.

Suzy, I enjoyed your story about when you first came to LA! I had no idea you would be finger-printed. It was back in the day when people obviously cared about those who were flying and actually encouraged and helped you to make your plane! Very refreshing to hear! Not sure that would happen any more.

Thanks for letting us know about MizT, Rolanda! Maybe she just has a lot on her plate right now. At least, I'm going to imagine that's why she hasn't been posting. I'm imagining good health and little or no pain for her.

Tami, I also try not to remember embarrassing moments, though there is one I can think of that I may one day tell the family. Hubby knows, but it happened my freshman year of college - before I met him.

Oh, my, it seems that Vici has landed safely in Oz and has begun her wonderful vacation! So glad you arrived safely, Vici! I know all the Aussies will take great care of you and help make many memories! Have fun!!!

I cannot believe she is FINALLY here... i keep poking her to make sure it is not an illusion...
It is a very noisy one if it is... laughs a lot!
She told me I look better in real life than I do in my photos...... that was after she commented on how short I am...
She has finished unpacking and is going to have a nap and I am going to do the same... I am exhausted from all the excitement.
