We are having tenderloin of venison, in fat free 'gravy' with smashed taters, and steamed veggies.

OH, Rolanda, I made the beef and pineapple curry dish last night, and Al liked it! He said tell you thanks for something different

Hi Stella, I'm great thanks. We are having the most incredible rain here today - solid for about the last 8 hours, which is unheard of for us at the moment. I wonder if we're going to get some flooding.

Hi Rola. You should check out the BOM radar images around Canberra, Rola, they're quite impressive. Well very unusual for here anyway. How's the weather there?

It's not quite 9pm here. We're watching that bachelor show with the Aussie tennis player, 'Age of Love.' There is nothing else on! Hope the rain doesn't cause the kind of damage we had in this area last week!

Lost my comment - trying again.
I read in our newspaper that the show with Mark P. was a flop in the ratings.
Did you have a big storm there Stella?

Last week we had a bad storm come through. Very windy, hail and torrential rain which caused flash floods. We lost power here but to the south of me, the flash floods washed away roads and houses and an elderly couple was killed in it. They're still trying to clean up from it. It was on the news tonight again.

I'm staying dry now cos I'm at work, but it was a bit scary getting here in the car.
Did Mark P. really say that, about going out with someone OLD? I never thought much of him anyway Anyway, he doesn't realise what he's missing, what with all the experience & all!!

Mark P was definitely shocked to find out that the women were in their 40's. Tonight he found out that there is another group of women in their 20's. I never watched any of the other bachelor/bachelorette shows because the concept is ridiculous. But...there was nothing on and I wanted to see his reaction. It's actually interesting how he views the women. He thought he would have a blast with the 20 year olds and he kept wondering what the 40's were doing. It was kind of funny!

He found the 20 year olds to be kind of shallow and without focus. I think that shocked him more than the first reaction to the ages. He was talking to one 20yo and asked what she wanted to do with her life. She wasn't sure so he asked what she liked to do. (as in a career/job) She told him she likes to eat!!!lol

Not really on high ground, but far enough from water to stay dry. Mind you there is a large storm water drain that is about 1/2km from our house & it was overflowing when I drove past this am (it overflows fairly easy). I always think that the houses close by could be flooded if there was enough rain.

He was so glad to be back with the 40yo that it is actually funny. It's on in the background while I'm working on the pooter. Any other time I would NOT watch it.

I remember storms here years ago, when we were still living in our old house, and the cherubs were little.. big rains, lots of flooding, and houses down the road were flooded out... my brothers place it got to within a inch of the door way

I lost another comment
It hasn't flooded here since the 60's.
I think it's funny that Mark P prefered to be with the 40's after what he said.
