Just a quick hi and I'm off to the shower and get my day started. Hope all feel well today and this is the best day/night yet. If its not what you want it to be....do something unusual and make a change in what was. Here's to life!

I guess we gotup early when we were working but now we tend to go to bed from about 11pm to 1am and the sleep later. I generally wake early (from my childhood on a dairy farm) but Hubby sleeps as late as possible. 7am is early for us , especially as it is winter here and the mornings are cooler.

MizTricia, Cockatoo is a small town about an hours drive from the centre of Melbourne which is the capital city of Victoria, a state on the south east of mainland Australia. Very quiet, sort of like a secret we don't want too many to know about. Rural yet only a twenty minute drive to the 'burbs!

June, I was an early riser too when working, 5 am every day, to make the morning shift at hospital. I always thought, once I do not have to do this, I will sleep till 9, did not happen heheh Now dairy farm, early is earlier than that??

summer here and daylight is about 5:30 am, so I seem to wake with the sun.

GAIL, yes, I can find Melbourne, I have a friend just over i=near Adelaide. You are just across the strait from Tasmania, way down south part of Australia. I have a MAP and I use it.

My daughter lives in Melbourne, but that one is in FLORIDA, USA heheh

MizT, I hope you don't mind if I call you that, we originally came from Adelaide, all our kids were born there. We moved over here 10 years ago for hubby's work.

Rola, don't even go there, it's been cold enough to freeze the...well I'm sure you know the rest. Our main source of heating is a slow combustion stove and I don't let it go out from May to August!

GAIL, what is a slow combustion stove? We here are so spoiled, forced air central heat and air is the norm. Presently we have window units for out AC, since th ecentral unit went out. I find we are more comfortable with the window units, like I can keep my bedroom cool at night without cooling the entire house that mcuh!! I like room cool enough to snuggle under a blanket

ROLA, you are low enough humidity for that to work. That technology is used in the south west USA, desert area. Too much humidity here in the south east. friends in Pheonix cool thier patio, with misters, can cool it 20 to 25 degrees making it plesant to be outside.

Just discovered AOL was putting some messages from sudoku.com into SPAM mail, I got a reply from Gath that wound up there and 2 that I had messages on my page! AAAGGGGHHHHHHHH. I have told them THAT is not spam, but you are not blocked Rola, not that I can see. you are in my address book, they should deliver mail to me from any adress i put in there.

The A/c doesn't cope with the humidity in Feb/March

MizT, a slow comb. stove is a wood burner kinda like a pot belly but with a fan in it to assist. When I was working full time I would load it up 1st thing in the am and last thing at night. Always nice to get up to make first coffee without getting frostbite!
