We usually arrange to have the darlings dealt with then go to same motel, same restaurant, and go for the same drive on the way back home the next day. Rut, who said rut?

Your darlings are old enough to look after themselves and the 12 year old, while you and hubby just leave, enjoy and come home the next day... doesn't matter if its the same motel you stay in.. Time out from the kiddywinks....

Well yeah, they're old enough but, you see, we have history, our darlings and us! I seem to remember a beautiful romantic BD w/e for H and a semi-authorised party.

Getting back to the chef thingy, my bro used to be a chef. Never seemed to mean much around their place according to my SIL! Anyway, he ended up leaving the prof. cos he couldn't stand the hours in the end. It can burn you out. Guess what he became?

I'll be back in a minny, must get a load on or they wont have clean uniforms for tomorrow and that would be a disaster for the preshus one!

Garbos are required essential service.
Without them we would all be living in a TIP !!! and smelly one at that....

I'm back - I didn't desert you, none of my posts were going through (I even sent you an email Rola). I was getting so frustrated. So then I decided to reboot the puter, & hey presto everything is better. PHEW

Jenni, Rola and Gail you are all having a busy time. Just popped in to see what you are all up to. Lamb shanks make a good base for lamb and vegetable soup. My mum made it quite a lot and none of us can make it quite the same.
Cooking pumpkin as I have to make batches of scones for a special day at bowls tomorrow. I prefer plain scones with jam amd cream but they wanted plain scones with butter.....how boring.......so will make some pumpkin ones instead. At least they taste OK with just butter.
And shortly off to my Pilates class so a busy evening ahead.
