Rola, its nice you can spend that time with your mum (but home by 9:00 am in more than I can handle).
I used to pick my mom up on Wednesday mornings, we'd go to breakfast, hen I'd drop her off to play Bridge and pick her up later in the afternoon. I'd bring her home with me or take her back home if she wasn't up to it. She was living withmy brother by then. It was nice.

Dont have a problem taking Mum home that early other than the traffic can be a bit heavy, I go and do my Grocery Shop on way home....
Mum lives about 15 minutes away...

Hello everyone, I thought it was quiet when I was here an hour ago, then I got caught up with other things & now there is so much to read. Be back when I've read all

I've been busy today. I was scanning old negatives. I found one of my Mom that gumball thought was me. Gumball is my #2 son for anyone who doesn't know.

I do like everyone's new smilies. Thought about becoming a supporting member, but hubby refuses to use PayPal again.

Cyndi, read your comment about the Mock Apple Pie. Did you do anything different with the second one? I've never tried it.

I want to know where people are getting the groovy smilies. The only ones I've come up with so far are pretty dull. I don't like going onto websites that bring up all those ads, & they are the only websites I've found so far

What do you put in mock apple pie that makes it taste like apple pie?

Jenni, someone yesterday posted that if you visit their page, your welcome to take anything they have. I would probably check with Rosemary, Nancy/PA or Rola. They seem to have a variety.

Jenni, I don't know what it is that makes it taste like apples--it must be the spices, but you only use nutmeg and cinnamon.
My first pie was too dry because I didn't use enough water in the syrup to pour over the crackers, and I think I baked it too long.

Well, I can't take Rola's - I'm not dutch (or named Rola for that matter!!) I would feel a little like I was stealing or copying, but I will have a lock at their pages. Thanks Becky
