Rolanda's back!!!!!

I just got home. It was a 3 hour drive each way, but I got a later start than I liked. I went outside to hook up my sheep trailer and leave, and to my shock my truck was missing!! IH had "borrowed" it without asking and was off running errands. When I finally got hold of him he got some choice 4 letter words.

Will I never learn? I could use some of heidi's 4 letter words at the moment. I had a nice post with comments to those posting on last page. Read all the page, and changed pages fore saving or posting. Oh well, if you were on last page, I did respond. Only one I remember now is Rolanda is back, it is hot at Vici's, she is going to a spa, Stephen is having a birthday, eaa popped in, and guess I should mention BEAN just in case she was there hehehe.

I must think about food, later friends.

I'mmmm baaaaaccck. Just like saying that. I have just booked flights for me and hubby to New York in August for nephew's wedding. Just me an hubby. Mom is going to watch beastie boys and Rachel for the weekend. I am now looking forward to a day in the city on saturday and the wedding on sunday.

Tami, I read your two posts and thought your kids were looking for more food immediately after breakfast! I had to check the times to see that time had passed… A weekend in NY for just the 2 of you sounds wonderful!

Nola, what new math game were you playing? I am guessing that if the baby was out of hospital so quickly he isn’t in foster care because his mum took drugs while pregnant – a huge relief.

Tami, did you get the shakes with your internet missing? I was not enjoying my limited access! Actually had knitting in here doing it while pages tried to load - anything rather than miss out altogether!

It was driving me nuts. I called everyday and drove them nuts. I even had my mom call. I finally got it back on friday. Just in time to research flights to NY.

We had a fabulous night last night and a very pleasant morning. The sisters have gone and taken their paperweights with them. We had a fun time going through Mum's treasures this morning and they have made some lovely choices for their keepsakes.

Not bittersweet any more Vici. We all had a hard time on Mum's birthday just a couple of weeks ago, but I feel it was cathartic for all of us. There does not seem to be as much pain any more.

What is a meditation concert?

I had a delightful visit on Skype with Tami and Dylan. I am SO looking forward to meeting them in person a week from today.

It's actually 5 days to and 4 days, 2 hours until I leave. Tami and family will only be there on Saturday. Thursday is arrival day and beach party. Friday is the big luncheon. Saturday will be spent on the beach just having fun, fun, fun in the sun, sun, sun.

Stopping in without reading (or remembering what else I've read, CRAFTS again)...Hot as here for the sixth or seventh day in a row...was 101 yesterday, 100 today! It was cool this morning for about 2 minutes!!!! Turned the air conditioning on around 10 a.m. and am not turning it off while we're in Washington, going to be at least 2 weeks with this heat...Glad we don't live in St. George, Utah (southwest corner of the state) they were 114 yesterday!!!

Rolanda: Welcome back!!! Are you planning on posting China photos?? My aunt Sandra's ex-neighbors Ben & Ruth went there in 1989 and brought me a beautiful scarf...I was very close to them when I lived at Sandra's years ago...Ben passed away a few years ago, it was like losing another grandparent...

Today's high was only 77℉. I never saw it get anywhere near that warm. Nice and cool with only a smattering of rain. (None was predicted, of course.) We're supposed to get MORE thunderstorms tomorrow.

Just a quick pop-in to say Hello and Good Morning! It's 12:02 am. We are home and exhausted, but next-door neighbors are having a party with loud music. Their deck is about 15 feet from our bedroom and guest bedroom above, where our D who just arrived today would be sleeping. Luckily she fell asleep on the couch in the family room on the other side of the house. I will let her sleep there. Must run and TRY to get some sleep. Have a wonderful day and stay healthy and happy!
