Hmmmm, CynB...like you, I too lost a post that I was working on...not SA8's fault, but my network...so I will add just a bit to what I was trying to say before my train of thought was interrupted...hard to do but I'll try...
Glad to see that the Aussie welcome mat has been spread so far and wide as to try and include all of us to help fulfill our to wish to join Vici as she is being feted by bean and Pete........The surprise show experience worked well and all enjoyed the show...good on ya...now we will see if Vici has the stamina to hold up under a spectacular display of Australian goodwill and pride that will take them far and wide meeting, greeting and taking part in the best that that part of the world has to offer.... we all envy that as much as we glory in it being shared by our own, to our own....go for broke and enjoy...As been said...Vici will get to see more of that part of the world than many who live there get to see...what a treat and such a wonderful opportunity! Hope all who are taking part in this great sharing are up to the wonderful experiences they will glean from this. I will be gladly sucking it all up vicariously, and know that I am joined by many on this side of the pond in doing so.....Have a blast! Its so great when people unite to enjoy and have fun together regardless of the restraints of our nationality, skin-color, faith or all of those things that are often used to try and separate us from the fact that we are all GOD'S children...In spite of those differences that we have been gifted with, and maybe because of them....May we continue to be one people in spite of the situation often presented! Peace!

I third it...

The new little birdy and Tip Tap are getting along just fine. Tip Tap hasn't stopped chirping and is grooming the new one. She/he can't fly yet, but somehow made it up to one of the perches with him. When we put her/him on the ground with her food and water she/he spends all of her/his time looking up at Tip Tap.

Now we just need to work out a name that could apply to either a boy or a girl since we don't know what it is yet. Any ideas anyone?

Good afternoon all! Hope Vici and Bean have recovered from their night out. Imagine going all the way to Australia to see the Jersey Boys! Amazing! When the kids are all out on their own, I'll start seeing some shows, one of which will be Jersey Boys.

Meghan is in Chicago after attending the Notre Dame game yesterday. She has a 10 hour wait before her flight back to Boston, so Jerry's Uncle is showing her around. Very nice of him to do so especially after her "friends" who she was supposed to stay with last night, texted her during the game and said they were going to friend's house in Chicago and did not invite her. That meant she had no place to sleep! One of the students from ND let her sleep in their room. I can't believe those girls were so thoughtless, but then again, we come across people like that all the time! Thank goodness others are thoughtful and are willing to come to the rescue!

Suzy, good luck with the car. Hope about "Toe Tap." That way you'll have Tip Tap Toe Tap or just Tip Toe!

Junior varsity soccer is over for Ian, but he has been brought up to Varsity for the playoffs just in case some players get sick or injured and they have playoffs starting at the end of this week. Brendan is playing in Washington DC today and his last game for the regular season is next Saturday at home, so we'll be going to that. Then they start playoffs for their league and also playoffs for NCAA. Bryana's soccer team has games until the middle of November and she can't wait for it to be over. The team isn't doing well and the coach doesn't play her much. Then we start all over with Ian for indoor track and Bryana for basketball!

Can't remember what else I was going to say, except Mama, you should write a book with all of your words of wisdom! You always amaze me!

Must get rolling. I am so far behind on everything!

Summer sport ending and winter sport starting - I always think there should be a few weeks between them!

June, Mum said exactly the same thing about the garden bounty. We were a little crueler than that though - they went to next doors chooks...

The new little birdie has made it through the night. She/he is so young that we have already warned the girls that anything could happen. The guy who sold her/him to us has promised us a pink or lavender one if something does. We are a little concerned that the only place she wants to be is on the perch near Tip Tap but she can't reach food or water from there.

I've just opened my memory to see what is on the agenda for today. Hubby has work and TAFE, Ally has TKD. I get to do ffuts and Ebob gets to study for her school certificate. Yawn. I can tell already it's going to be an exciting day...

Suzy, how about Tip Top. Then you will have Tip Tap and Tip Top.

Today (Oct. 26) is my mom and dad's 52 wedding anniversary. I am telling everyone because I know she will not. They have just arrived for a barbeque. I will cook any thing they want and my dad chose hotdogs and hamburgers.

I also have my niece Kimberley - 22 today and a couple of second cousins - all born on Mum's birthday.

Stella: Glad to know I'm not the only one who knows where Garden City is!! I had friends in Dix Hills, Levittown, Hempstead, Farmingdale, etc!!

To all those "Down Under": TTT is correct, we are usually shoveling snow by Halloween! This year so far has been nice...we even had a bit of indian summer last week. Supposed to have lousy weather from Tuesday to Friday or Saturday.

tired now. I spent most of the day moving hay, all except for a few hours in the afternoon when I attended the State Lions Club meeting. Our Local meeting is in 2 days. I'll have to report on the State meeting.
