Hi, Eve!
Thank you for visiting my page and for lovely comments.
Just looked through your pictures. They are all magnificent, Thank you for sharing your trip to Africa.
Loved the sunsets and skies on Yourtube. Sorry, can't tell anything about the music, sure it is great, but my d**n poor connection keeps me away from enjoying it.

Thanks for checking on me. :) My life's been crazy lately. I'm just starting a new job and trying to get back on a schedule with the kids returning to school. I've been able to work the puzzles every once in awhile, but don't have time to read all the postings. I still have your avatar saved, but I haven't even sent it into Gath yet. Sorry! Hopefully everything will slow down soon and I can spend more time on the web site. I miss all the banter! Funny how you can bond with people you've never met. :) Thanks again for thinking of me! Hi Eve,

Thanks for the visit. As far as Basset hounds being dumb, they are dumb like a fox. What they really are is stubborn. They are the hardest headed dog I have ever seen. I hope this note finds you agreeable and in good health. The harvest is starting here so it is very busy.

It was just a joke, so take no offense. I assume that in your message on my page you were talking about the buyout of Security Pacific by the Bank of America. I don't know much about it but do remember reading about it. We use too many acronyms and on an international site like this and it is hard to keep up with 'local' names. If I'm wrong, let me know.

Hi Eve! Came to look at the picture of the group meeting & then discovered all your wonderful pictures of Africa, too! When were you there? Rob & I hope to plan a camera safari trip for 2009. Our trip for 2008 will be to China. Then if we can make it to Antarctica in 2010 I will be able to say I've been to all 7 continents. Still have so many places on my Wish List!! Hope you're having a good weekend. How's your back feeling these days?

Hi, Eve!

Thank you for the Lake Almanor Church website. Fascinating stuff! It will take me a while to get through it all. I remember a flurry of e-mails regarding the Supreme Court and the Ten Commandments debate (inspired, no doubt, by the Rev. DuBord) that were poorly written and packed with mistruths. So while Pastor Todd DuBord's research may be impeccable, it could be that the researchers at Snopes and Truth&fiction got bogged down with all the other erroneous e-mails. If there was a conspiracy at the government level (which appears to be the case), there is only so much Snopes and/or Truth&Fiction can do, since their MO is to go directly to the source - which in this case would be the U. S. Supreme Court. It will be interesting to see if they can be persuaded to revisit this issue which could well happen if enough people speak out. In any case, thanks for the information. This will keep me busy for quite awhile!

By the way, I was most impressed with Rev. DuBord's handling of the "Jading of Jamestown". On my next trip back to Richmond, I will mosey down to Jamestown for a tour to see if they have indeed re-educated their tour guides to include the importance of religion in the colony.

Thanks! Jane

Eve, you've been a wonderful support during these past weeks as mom struggled then ceased struggling. Thanks for taking the time to get to know her a little better by reading the eulogy and most especially for cheering her on during better days. I always let her know that she had friends everywhere who were hoping she would rally and she was touched by that. You've really helped to cheer me as well, and I'm so grateful. Thanks for letting me share. Hope you and yours have a wonderful day.

Eve dear I thought I had visited your page before. I was wrong. I was admiring your pictures and thought how great they were--then my next thought was I hope you used a zoom lense.

Anyway, thanks for the advice. No picking up the girl when she gets home but I do plan to cuddle with her. This incident falls under the sick catagory and you know I am never sick.

Hope to see you in the chat room.

G'day Eve, Thanks so much for your lovely words of encouragement about my daughter's op this morning. I found that story about the tv bloke very interesting. What a blow it must have been to him to lose his hearing like that.I have put some more info about it on My Page if you're interested. I have heard from the doctor that everything went very well and Liz is fine. It's all good.

Eve, that party at Jeb's must have been a doozy! but glad to have you back anyway (not to mention another pie - looks like dinner to me).

I see by your photos that you either live near the sea or go there on occasion. Lucky you! I've been in that area and it is really beautiful! I worked in Portland for a few months and took weekend drives down the coast and up the river, and was lucky enough to come back with a few photos. And a friend took me up to Mt Hood in a snowstorm. But I also have a desire to go back and explore some more.

Drop in again when you have time.

Thanks for the Thanksgiving wishes, Eve. A quiet day here, just hubby and me catching up on chores and paperwork; doesn't sound too festive and we're not having turkey either--instead we're making one of my mom's specialties: pork cutlets, mashed potatoes and garlic gravy (it's delicious). We'll have a long walk, do some reminiscing and be thankful we've been so blessed. I'll leave out some of my cranberry/orange loaf for you, and a little jar of homemade cranberry sauce for you to take--great with chicken and pork. Cheers, Eve!

Hi Eve, Great of you to drop bye. Trust you saw the sign out front.
No, its not 'Mean Bean' - though at times it feels like it.
Enjoyed your comments on the old PC.I consider my husband to be computer literate and I even ended up with work colleagues thinking I was pretty switched on because with a quick phonecall he could usually talk me through whatever difficulty I was having. [some things are just tooo embarrassing to admit to the IT department and still retain your credibility!!] Well I had to laugh when teenage son went in to help his old man out at work with a presentation he was preparing. Always knew our son would come in handy one day..... Finally some return on all those school fees....
looking forward to you dropping in again

Beam me up Scottie....never been much of a Trekkie fan, but it sure seems as if they enjoyed bending their elbows....must be where the slogan originated..eh? Eve...just checked out the pictures of Dave, Keith, and you, and of course Keith's wife...but I'm talking Sudoku folks here...and I must tell you that You have the most beautiful smile...it lights your whole face up....good to meet you lady! Your face shows the beauty of your soul! Sully and I are making it. Sometimes its slow and we are disappointed...we went to the doctor today, and he continues to be plagued by problems stemming from his diabetes. He's doing well as far as the back surgery goes and is following orders...yet these other things are delaying his healing to a point that he becomes dejected and I have to continually reassure him when often I'm concerned by the same things that trouble him. His blood sugar has been off the charts and I know he's scared about having a stroke and becoming incompasitated to a point where he'd rather not be here...but we're trying to keep things in perspective...and so it goes! Keep the prayers coming...we can use them! Thanks...Peace.

Oh Eve, if only I could!!! I once took students to Descanso Gardens, heavenly! Right now though I am begging for funds for the bus. Plus I try to double up with 5 other classes to squeeze out a couple of buses and those teachers have other ideas to where to go. Oh well, I'm going to try again! Thank you for reminding me of that wonderful garden!
