Yes, I got your email, but no thanks, I hate cleaning! That's why my house is such a wreck, plus 4 kids and a hubby who all leave their stuff all over the place!

I am just asking, because MizT is having trouble receiving my emails ...

My den took so long to organize because I had thousands of pictures in shoeboxes that I had to find a place for. I bought those photo boxes and put them on the shelf so at least they look neat. I take alot of pictures and I don't put them in albums until they are all labeled and organized. I got behind in 1989 and I haven't been able to catch up since. (daughter born in 88 and then son in 89) Plus I take pictures for the school, all the sports teams and family events. So....

the boxes are a good solution.

I just counted the photo boxes. There are 30! Each one contains a 1000 pictures and that doesn't even include the ones I separated for each of my children and put with their stuff already!!

I'm also making two photo/memory albums for my niece. That's why the pictures were all over the den to begin with. She got married last May and I took over 900 pictures at her wedding(wedding album) and I have tons of pictures of her since she was born(memory album). I did warn her that it would take me a couple of years to do them.

Stella you take lots of photos. Do you still use film or have you changed to digital?

Never say never MizT! Although I do tend to agree that is a monumental task. And I thought my couple of hundred unsorted photos was an issue. Our main problem is that back when the grand prix was in Adelaide my petrol head hubby took heaps of rolls of film that still aren't developed and mixed in with them are family shots. We just had a roll done and got photos of our daughter's 1st BD. She's now 17!!!

Hi Brenda! (My sister's name is Brenda!) I use both digital and 35mm. I use the digital mostly now since developing is expensive and I can pick and choose which to develop. I have 1000's of digital pictures on my computer that I have not developed yet. I'm printing them 100 at a time when it's on sale. I use the 35mm for important events or portraits.

Hi Gail, you're lucky the film hadn't been compromised in all that time. My kids gave me some of their film (they all take pictures too) and one of the canisters had pictures she took of her kindergarten class. She's 14 now but the pictures were yellowish. They said it was because of where it was stored. (In her bottom desk drawer next to the heater!)

My hubby complains about all of the pictures I have on the computer because they take up so much room and I'm always asking him why the computer is so slow!

One bad thing about keeping them on the computer is if the computer dies. I have them backed up on his computer (shhh, he doesn't know, hehehe) but I've been trying to find time to copy them to discs just in case.

STELLA, do you have a DVD burner? can store lots of photos on those, and would not LOOSE them in a computer crash!

You could also buy an external hard drive to connect to your computer and use as a storage device for your photos
