Jenni, my hubby's grandfather had a secret receep for spiedie sauce and he used his homemade wine (from his homegrown grapes) to make it and when he died it was lost. But there are other versions out there and one of the Italian restaurants has bottled it. We don't use lamb because it is expensive, so we use chicken or pork now. It is one of our favorite meals.

Ahhh, rola, it is unusual to have different colors on the same bush unless you are really trying and amending the soil. I imagine yours is very striking with all the colors.

Rola, I do not have a clue who Topper is, but thought I saw him/her making comments back a page or 2 when i first came on. I much prefer Top to chat with us than just lurk.

I think topper may have left. Unless he is a jet setter from around the world (like in the song, 'you're so vain'), he must be from my part of the world. Did anyone ever figure out who Carly Simon was talking about in that song? I always thought it was James Taylor.

I have moved a couple to different locations. because of garden renovations a couple of years ago.... both of them are pink now...
depends on the acid/alkaline in the soil as to the colour..
started to cut mine back now..
