Because of all the hype, I was not expecting to love it, like it probably, but not love it. I had not expected the great humor...that was a real plus.
Now I'm imagining you DUGs can probably find lots of Hollywood errors in lingo or other stuff - to me "Backdraft" was a comedy - what a complete farce! - but of course I don't know your special "talk" much, but thanks to my time here I did love hearing "cheeky" and "crikey" (sp?) ...and I forget the others.

ok...I'm finally on the right page...what an entertaining read this has been.

Lachies interview went well everybody...they were impressed with him [how could they not be...] - did extremely well in his aptitude test. He has a a couple of subjects to finish next year and was looking to join the army reserves [keep him busy with the light school load]

The recruiting office was talking to him about officer training school [I like that idea...get a degree at the same time] and want him to to get a part time job and then reapply. They like applicants to have a little work experience and not be fresh out of school...all sounds good to me. He is now on holidays and planning a trip to Adelaide...

Poor old Pete isn't well....just a cold I hope.
He startled a colleague he was chatting too in the lift and then all of a sudden he blacked out ... hit his head when he fell but luckily he was wearing his bike helmet! Looks, feels and sounds terrible...very stuffed up in the head. Was ok when he said goodbye in the morning but wondered why he was finding the bike ride more difficult than usual...

Suzy, give me a few days and I will probably burn myself to add to your list. I am baking 4 batches of brownies on Sunday and that is almost a gaurantee.
Julie you asked which hand, of couse it is my writing hand, and it is the pointer finger. Why would I do it to a finger that I don't use all the time. When I get a booboo I usually make sure it is bad.
I was an accident waiting to happen as a child (just ask my mom) so a smashed finger isn't so bad. It is just annoying.

The Idiot returned my hitch, and one of the trailers. I haven't seen the other one yet, but that's possibly the fault of the pouring rain. He was actually wondering why I was mad. You see, I'm the one who buys the equipment. He refuses to contribute a single penny towards the purchase of anything, while denying that we need the item at all. Things like tractors, stock trailers, flatbed trailers, etc. Once I have paid for them, he suddenly decides that he cannot live without that item. He NEEDS it now! He cannot survive without using it daily! It was amusing at first, but he also loves to look generous in the eyes of others, without spending a penny, so he gives MY things away.

Bean.... you would have to come over here to visit, if you were to write a sitcom. Talk to the neighbors. Everybody has stories about IH. One neighbor does an impression of him that brings tears to everyones eyes, it's so spot-on. I think most stories revolve around his cheapness. And lack of common sense.

I just took some aspirin for my pounding headache..... stress, I believe. Now I think I'll watch a DVD of a TV show I enjoy (Deadliest Catch) before feeding the dogs.
