My daughter gave me a reflections journal, different question top of each page to write about my life. I found it again and now take it with me to doctors appointments and write while waiting. some of the questions i do not care for, do not apply, so will mark those out and invent my own hehehe. I think it is a good thing. If a parent is beyond ability to write, giving them a tape recorder to record memories also works.

Broni, it is OK, I do not mind stumbling around in the dark. You said you should do stuff on the boat, what needs doing there? Would gladly come and help if you were just down the road a piece hehehe. have not been on a boat in forever and oh how I woul like to again, even a little bitty row boat. My Mom and step father had a pontoon boat, party barge, do you know what I mean? nice for sitting and pputting around the lake where they lived. I loved when they did moonlight cruises!

Is that better MizT, had to close everything down but back again.
She's an older boat and just requires constant maintenance, the deck needs somes cracks sanded out and refilled then painted and the wooden hand rails need to be sanded and restained and she needs a good bath and cleaning. Then hopefully I can sell her a buy one a bit smaller that I can handle by myself.

I am still not showing anyone in friends or on MSN. Maybe the problem is ME! Yes, having a boat you can manage yourself would be good, as you do love the water so much!

did I tell you about the time I ran away from home, during the troubled last year of my first marraige? Daughter and i went to a friend who has a sail boat and we went for a lovely sale! till the weather took a change. Remind me to tell that one someday. Huumm, that should go into my jouranl too.

Just checked our weather, and they have put the S word in, as snow showers. nothing much would stick as the grould is wet and warm, but we might see a few flakes blosing about tonight/tomorrow. Let me see, am I required to go to grocery? I have extra milk and bread and bathroom tissue! Might should check fuel for generator and kerosien for heaters, just in case. have not done a check for winter survival. we need a wood burning stove for office. always bits and pieces left over, could keep us warm if we had a stove.

It has been so hot and humid these past few days, at least there has been no major storms, but the one yesterday about 5000 homes lost power.

Good morning all! It's been a very busy week with all of the kids home. Hope everyone here is fine! The first left a few minutes to go back to school. Hubby is taking her. Brendan will be leaving in a couple of hours. Thank goodness he got a ride. I'll be driving Bryana back tomorrow. Then it will be a race to get everything done before they come home again and my in-laws arrive for the holidays!

Oh, forgot to say, took Ian to the ortho and he is on crutches for 4 weeks. The two bones in the ball of his foot are bruised and have an abrasion. On Saturday, I took all 4 to get flu shots before they go back to school and Bryana and Brendan tested positive for strep. Bryana woke up with swollen glands and she thought she had an ear infection. No ear infection but they decided to do a strep test just in case. She's never had strep. Just when Brendan was about to get his shot he said his glands were still swollen from two weeks ago. So they tested him and he had strep! There's always something!

Good Maen all!
Oh Stella - keeping the kids healthy during the winter and while at school is SO difficult.
My step daughter Ali is an 8th grade science teacher and has just come down with her first cold of the season (while she was up visiting)...she considers this quite a coup since for her first 2 years of teaching she was catching bugs almost non-stop.

Haven't caught up on my reading here...busy beavers last night! Or maybe busy burras would be more appropriate (as in kookaBURRAs)
Broni - hope you don't have too much work to do to get the boat in order to sell. Keep in mind that you must have room for all of us when you downsize!
MzT - looking forward to reading your sailing story...and LOVE the idea of the memories journal.

Hello Tami, How are you today? I might need to head down your way later this weekend, it is ging to get cold here!

YES, the sun is to ward off any of that snow stuff up here! do not want any snow, do not need any snow. We would probably get only a dusting if that, but still , nope, none for me please.
