Since I could not cut and paste into a PM, and the darn thing would only accept 3000 characters (humph). I put my whole experience onto Jill's page in parts. I am sure we all have crazy families, so I do not think I put anything in there too discriminating.

To all the ax murders out there in Sudokuland. Harry never had a problem with with me going to meet another person from Sudoku. My first meeting was with Kathy Valrico, we met half way between Orlando and Tampa. We both were alone, know one to protect either of us. Harry went to Florida with me when we had Fiona Fest, but not to protect me, he wanted some sun and fun. Yes Harry was with me yesterday to meet Karen, but again not for protection he wanted to check out cell phones and also spend some time with my sister and BIL.

all you wonderful people.
Have to be up early for a doctors appointment for Harry. Tulsa here we come.

BTW Karen doesn't talk too much, and yes we could have spent more time conversing but I am glad for the time we had.

Hello everyone, I could not imagine anyone on this site being an axe murderer. Even some of my family cannot understand the closeness I feel to my Sudoku family.

Ahaa Amelia!
It is hard to recognise a potential axe murderer. Unknown; under the benevolent cover of being a mild Sudokuist; there might lurk an heinous killer.

Today in summary…..

Fitzroy Gardens in Melbourne, just down south a bit from all the Sydney photos we’ve had recently.

Shiela - gets prize for being first today

Grass-hopper - jumping close behind followed by

Anne - slow as usual

Shiela - wishes the snow away so her sons and their families can travel safely without getting snowbound. Good luck guys!

Grass-hopper - sympathises with Shiela and suggests they keep off the road.

Bjay - looking forward to being back at work. You’ve got to be kidding!! Says as long as she pops in to see us she’ll be happy. Yeh, right!

Heidi - in the middle of a snow storm. Keep the hatches battened down. Cooking for a Lions’ Club Christmas Party. Will there be other wildlife there besides Lions? A few tigers or leopards, perhaps.

Grass-hopper - tries out a CP to fill in time. You really should be in bed by now.

Bjay - asking what a CP is? I’m sure she will get a few answers knowing this site. Whether they’re all the same or correct is another thing.

Rayray & Gail - both put Bjay on the right track. Now we’ll have another CP’er on the site.

Jiminoregon - reckons it’s pretty wet in Portland.

Jane - it’s raining where she is too. Seems to be a lot of rain around your way. That’s good because us Aussies have had enough for the time being.

Captain J - Hello Captain, nice to see you posting. Another one complaining about the weather. You will live in these wet/snowy places!!

GmaJackie - writing messages twice to make sure people get them. What a waste of ink! Baked cookies for a Children’s play at Church. Don’t we get any? Telling everyone they should check out Rayray’s page then continues to CP.

HalT - took us over the page because GmaJackie was busy eating her cookies.
He’s getting a bit mixed up with his cereals. Just have porridge!

Vibrant Vici - puts a stop to HalT’s CP’ing. Running late but has time to post a few comments. Not enough for a CP though, VV.

We seem to have a lot of CP’ing tonight. A few bored northerners??

Jerry - turns up with the coffee pot. Not for me right now, thanks Jerry!
Gives us a history and general knowledge lesson on Kentucky. Is that the fried chicken stuff you can buy everywhere? Goodness me, there seems to be a lot about Kentucky we don’t know. Anybody who wants to know about Kentucky, read Jerry’s CP post.

Kathy (Valrico) - stops in to say hello. Questioning whether Jerry is from Kentucky or not.

Kathy (the other one) - gives the answer to yesterday’s puzzle and the winners. Not many! They must all have been too busy it being a Sunday.
Would you mind putting the lid down please?

Jerry - continues with his CP’ing with

Kathy (Valrico) - butting in. A bit worried about the weather as she also has family travelling.

A bit of chatting between Jerry and the two Kathys.

Kathy - posts a new puzzle

Jane - back in t

Today in summary...... continued

Jane - back in the fray. Having a bit of difficulty with her spices.

Sue - pops in and lets us know she has posted photos on her page of Karen and family

Judy - finally makes an appearance and adds to the comments about the bad weather, then brags about the nice warm weather where she and is going to the beach. Don’t get sunburnt!

Karen - announces that she’s back. Then thanks Sue for lunch. You mean you didn’t treat Sue? Said how well behaved her girls were but MIL misbehaved a bit.

Jane & Judy - are having a swearing match at each other. Now! Now! Behave like ladies, please.

Maria - 2:17

Chris - recognised the photo but not sure where from. Melbourne, perhaps?

the Lurker - arrives on the scene with almost a CP

Colo Jim - here we go again. Another one complaining about the snow plus an extra complaint; his sore toe.

CynB - had a few words to welcome Karen home

Kathy - giving us an update on her family being stranded at the airport. I hope they manage to reach their destination alright.

A bit of talk about meeting axe murderers at sudoku meetings. Has anyone met one yet? Also a discussion on Mammoth Caves.

Suzy - joins in with the axe murderer discussion.

CP - says good morning then immediately disappears

CG - calls in to say hello and to tell us he got sloshed at a Christmas Party. With beer tankards that big I’m not surprised. What happened to today’s jokes?

GmaJackie - has a slow connection. Don’t we all sometimes. Enjoyed Jerry’s post and tells us a bit about where she lives. Invites us all to visit her for a stay.

Rayray - tries his hand at CP’ing and joins in the discussion about the site. Can’t find his potato flour anywhere. Try looking in the cupboard.

Everyone is trying to remember back to a T-shirt someone thought of designing but never got off the ground. Also lots more discussion about sudoku meetings. They really are fun.

Keith - has finally got out of bed and joins the throng but says he has got nothing to contribute. I’m sure he has. He just hasn’t woken up properly yet.

Jill - calls in but is busy and shouldn’t be on here.

CP - suddenly appears to jump Tigger over the page.

Looks like the people from the Northern Hemisphere have gone quiet for the night. Phew!

Amelia - she doesn’t think we’re axe murderers. Thank you Amelia!

Rayray - thinks we could all be axe murderers in disguise.

Suzy - it seems we to have a killer in our midst. Our very own Suzy from Oz! Did you use an axe to murder it?

A couple of late comers in Broni and Neil just checking in.

Until tomorrow………

You said in your last post "A bit of talk about meeting axe murderers at sudoku meetings. Has anyone met one yet?".

If they had, they wouldn't be posting any longer.

Hi Phantom,

To be strictly correct in my above posting, I should have said 'most recent post', not 'last post'.

But maybe a 'Last Post' if you meet the axe murderer?

The Hotel Bill

An elderly lady decided to give herself a big treat for her significant birthday (it was her 85th) by staying overnight in one of San Diego's most expensive hotels.

When she checked out next morning, the desk clerk handed her a bill for $250.00.

She explode and demanded to know why the charge was so high. "It's a nice hotel but the rooms certainly aren't worth $250.00 for just an overnight stop without even breakfast."

The clerk told her that $250.00 is the 'standard rate' so she insisted on speaking to the Manager.

The Manager appeared and forewarned by the desk clerk announced: "the hotel has an Olympic-sized pool and a huge conference centre which are available for use." "But I didn't use them," she said.

"Well, they are here, and you could have," explained the Manager.

He went on to explain that she could also have seen one of the in-hotel shows for which the hotel is famous. "We have the best entertainers from Hollywood, New York and London performing here," the Manager said.

"But I didn't go to any of those shows," she said.

"Well, we have them, and you could have," the Manager replied.

No matter what amenity the Manager mentioned, she replied, "But I didn't use it!"

The Manager was unmoved, so she decided to pay, wrote a cheque and gave it to the Manager.

The Manager was surprised when he looked at the cheque. "But madam, this cheque is only made out for $50.00."

"That's correct. I charged you $200.00 for sleeping with me," she replied.

"But I didn't!" exclaims the very surprised Manager.

To which she replied, "Well, too bad, I was here, and you could have."

Hi Bjay,

Re you pst above - 'tall dark handsome' do not usually go with 'old bloke' (eg, I'm not dark).

You need to decide your priorities.

Sorry, Neil, I wants what I wants. Besides, 'dark' has many connotations.

Anne, if I went to Tassie I might run into my Tasmanian ex-no-hoper. He spent most of his time in one hotel or another in Tassie. Always had to "see a bloke" (usually the barman) in every pub we ever had the misfortune to drive past. Tassie, nice place to visit .......

Queen Anne is always saying "off with his/her head".
By the way Phantom reported inaccurately; as I suggested that there "might" be an axer lurking around somewhere. To my knowledge, no violent crime has ever been committed in Sudokuland - although, come to think of it, how did the Phantom became a headless ghost?
