Since I could not cut and paste into a PM, and the darn thing would only accept 3000 characters (humph). I put my whole experience onto Jill's page in parts. I am sure we all have crazy families, so I do not think I put anything in there too discriminating.

Cannot believe I was not paying attention. Grief, 11:30 here and I am still going with things to do before bedtime, which has past.

To all the ax murders out there in Sudokuland. Harry never had a problem with with me going to meet another person from Sudoku. My first meeting was with Kathy Valrico, we met half way between Orlando and Tampa. We both were alone, know one to protect either of us. Harry went to Florida with me when we had Fiona Fest, but not to protect me, he wanted some sun and fun. Yes Harry was with me yesterday to meet Karen, but again not for protection he wanted to check out cell phones and also spend some time with my sister and BIL.

Hehehe, some might say you should have been worried about meeting me.
I have been watching the Lifetime channel a lot lately, scary people on there.

Have to be up early for a doctors appointment for Harry. Tulsa here we come.

BTW Karen doesn't talk too much, and yes we could have spent more time conversing but I am glad for the time we had.

Hello everyone, I could not imagine anyone on this site being an axe murderer. Even some of my family cannot understand the closeness I feel to my Sudoku family.

It is hard to recognise a potential axe murderer. Unknown; under the benevolent cover of being a mild Sudokuist; there might lurk an heinous killer.

Heidi - in the middle of a snow storm. Keep the hatches battened down. Cooking for a Lions’ Club Christmas Party. Will there be other wildlife there besides Lions? A few tigers or leopards, perhaps.

Grass-hopper - tries out a CP to fill in time. You really should be in bed by now.

Bjay - asking what a CP is? I’m sure she will get a few answers knowing this site. Whether they’re all the same or correct is another thing.

To be strictly correct in my above posting, I should have said 'most recent post', not 'last post'.

But maybe a 'Last Post' if you meet the axe murderer?

The Hotel Bill

An elderly lady decided to give herself a big treat for her significant birthday (it was her 85th) by staying overnight in one of San Diego's most expensive hotels.

When she checked out next morning, the desk clerk handed her a bill for $250.00.

She explode and demanded to know why the charge was so high. "It's a nice hotel but the rooms certainly aren't worth $250.00 for just an overnight stop without even breakfast."

The clerk told her that $250.00 is the 'standard rate' so she insisted on speaking to the Manager.

The Manager appeared and forewarned by the desk clerk announced: "the hotel has an Olympic-sized pool and a huge conference centre which are available for use." "But I didn't use them," she said.

"Well, they are here, and you could have," explained the Manager.

He went on to explain that she could also have seen one of the in-hotel shows for which the hotel is famous. "We have the best entertainers from Hollywood, New York and London performing here," the Manager said.

"But I didn't go to any of those shows," she said.

"Well, we have them, and you could have," the Manager replied.

No matter what amenity the Manager mentioned, she replied, "But I didn't use it!"

The Manager was unmoved, so she decided to pay, wrote a cheque and gave it to the Manager.

The Manager was surprised when he looked at the cheque. "But madam, this cheque is only made out for $50.00."

"That's correct. I charged you $200.00 for sleeping with me," she replied.

"But I didn't!" exclaims the very surprised Manager.

To which she replied, "Well, too bad, I was here, and you could have."

Gee, I'm late - didn't even make the 2nd cut. Had a long day at work, and I'm worn out. The only thing is, I have to go back again tomorrow and do it all again. I wish I could meet a tall dark handsome rich old bloke with one foot in the grave.

Re you pst above - 'tall dark handsome' do not usually go with 'old bloke' (eg, I'm not dark).

You need to decide your priorities.

Bjay - perhaps you'd better go and stay in a hotel in Tassie. You never know what you might find there.

Sorry, Neil, I wants what I wants. Besides, 'dark' has many connotations.

Anne, if I went to Tassie I might run into my Tasmanian ex-no-hoper. He spent most of his time in one hotel or another in Tassie. Always had to "see a bloke" (usually the barman) in every pub we ever had the misfortune to drive past. Tassie, nice place to visit .......

.. they do have beautiful cider, tho'.

By the way Phantom reported inaccurately; as I suggested that there "might" be an axer lurking around somewhere. To my knowledge, no violent crime has ever been committed in Sudokuland - although, come to think of it, how did the Phantom became a headless ghost?

I am sure there is a very interesting story about how "the Phantom" became so.

Or would that be revealing skeletons in the cupboard?

Neil - Queenstown is quite a nice place, if you like mining towns, if my memory serves me correctly. It's been about 14 years since I was there and we only drove through as I was on a coach tour.

Rayray - you don't think that Her Majesty would soil her hands in that lowly way, surely.
