yep grocery shop.. Took my trolley boy with me, which meant I got 5% discount. #2 Son works at the supermarket on the Checkouts

I know what you mean Becky, I always went to bed before H but he beat me a full half hour last night. Shouldn't have bothered tho, hardly any sleep. I've started posting in my dreams!

I couldn't believe it the first coupla days I signed on, I was still on when the games rooled over. Usually in bed by 10 before sudoku

It rolls overhere at 10am. I was doing the jigsaws waiting for the new games. Lately, I've only been getting on here late.

H is co-partner in a metal manufacture business. We make curtain rods and fly screen sides. Thoroughly exciting! But today I was working in our new motor vehicle spare parts div. Sounds grand but not really. They're SVU bug screens and my D#1 is the head of it so she was my boss today!

I 'retired' over a year ago because they didn't really need me anymore, no advancement possibilities and I wasn't going to work in the factory anymore. Was only spose to work short term but after 6 years I thought that was long enough!

I was an insurance agent (claims) for 11 yrs. and a teacher for 9. Each had its pluses.

It's great to see the sudokuspeak being used by all sorts of people. It's rewarding when you do something & you see people respond - you must have that feeling too, Gail, with your receep page.

Becky that is two very different careers. A little like me - I started as a nurse, then ran my own (& hubbies restaurant), & am now a medical receptionist. As they say, variety is the spice of life

Not working right now. Looking for something part-time to get me back out in the world.

When I was younger thought about being a nurse, lawyer or mechanic. Back then I didn't have the money for the first 2 and the last was unheard of at that time.

Haven't really decided. Would like something within walking distance.

When I became a nurse money wasn't needed. I was trained by a hospital & paid a reasonable wage for working, & got cheap board. Now nursing is in the universities, & is expensive to do (although the government pays it & the student has to pay it back when they start working)

Don't think I could have gotten through med school. Not good at chemistry.
Was told by hubby I would be a good lawyer because I like to argue. But, I don't like speaking in front of a lot of people.
My dad was a mechanic for over 40 years and had to learn how to work on my car.

We don't have any kids. Long story. We do have 11 neices and nephews. Ages 29 down to 17 and 1 great neice who is 7.

Do you still work on your own car? Are female mechanics a regular thing over there? I'm sure they are a lot more common here now than they were, but not sure what sort of numbers there would be.
