Hello CP, have a nice time where ever you are going. Slow cookers can be used at barbecue time too, we make chilli beans or even a sauce.

Jenni if I lived there I'd probably barbecue year round. It's a little hard to get to the barbecue here in the winter sometimes or find it under the snow.

Does that mean that you have been on here a looooong time Jenni? Think what you could have prepared in that time!!

OH, If anyone wants recipes for slow cooker, I have afile with hundreds of them, can send as attached file. I used mine when working away from home. Now, I do not have counter space to keep it out, so I use it only for making apple butter now. Mine is a LARGE one, 6 quart, would make more than Al and I could eat in a month hehehe,
