Jenni, my SIL has sleep apnea and uses an oxygen mask at night. They told her that asthma is what caused hers.

My parents both use masks - not oxygen, but a positve pressure thing (not sure exactly how it works). It really helps the snoring.

It sounds like there must be different types of sleep apnea. As long as they feel better, that's all that matters.

MizT's gone to bed, Lynda, I'm lurking while trying to attempt a tough puzzle. I am having a lot of trouble though, they are a little too hard for me.

Yes, Lynda, it stuck to the saucepan but hadn't burnt yet. Also have to add that hubby had put it on & then gone to watch TV, & left it for me to look after even though I wasn't there! Sorry to run out on you in the middle of the conversation.

Not to worry Jenni, I was making some quince jelly which I should have been watching instead of this screen! I wish I had some left overs, got to do a pork roast and all trimmings tonight. My favourite is 'iffits' (if its in the fridge you can have it).

Lynda iffits sounds like my kind of cooking.
Jenni I'm not good at the toughs, I cheat by guessing and using the check moves button.

There's only the 2 of us to feed so when we make a casserole (often now since it's winter) we always have some to put in the freezer. So Friday night dinners are always easy.

Rena, I read all that stuff about the chains & colouring etc, & it makes about as much sense to me as ........ (sorry can't think of a metaphor, but not much sense at all)

Jenni, ditto. I have a slow cooker that is invaluable during the winter, casserole night one, heat it up night two and night three we turn it into a curry.

Thanks, Lynda, but I would really love to be able to understand how to do it. Now that I'm an SM I have an easy fill button (which helped with putting in the possibilities) & a hint button. But the hint button won't help until I've wittled away more numbers than I have.

Lynda, I just love slow cooked food. Been wandering whether I should get one of those machines or not? Hubby says not since we already have a bread maker & jaffle iron which are in the laundry cupboard. You know, use like crazy for about a year, & then get sick of.

Jenni I think it comes with practice and maybe some luck. Actually that could be said for a lot of things. My husband rattles even the tough one off really quickly. He can also solve the Rubic Cube in a very short time. He is very good at mental arithmetic. Me,I have to plod a bit.

A slow cooker is a must! When I was working full time, that could be 5am to 11pm it was a godsend, only had to do rice or spuds and a hot meal on the table in record time.

Lynda I have all three and don't use them. I used to use the bread machine a lot but the store in my little town makes their own bread that is really good and already sliced.

Lynda, I've been practicing for so long now, I don't think I'll ever get it. I don't have a problem with the hards, or any of the ones they print in the paper, just those toughs!!

I too loved my bread machine & now - I don't know why just can't be bothered. The slow cooker would definitely get a good workout, but for how long? When you were working, when do you do all the prep to put in the cooker?

Never had a bread machine, too many people I know have them lying idle in cupboards. I do the prep either at night or early in the morning, takes about 15 mins. A pot roast takes even less time to prep.

Maybe I should dust off my slow cooker and give it a shot, but I think I'll wait until barbecue season is over.

Very true Jenni - but can he cook? Mine can if he has to but doesn't usually want to. When he does he makes such a mess in the kitchen for me to clear up that it would have been quicker to do it myself.
