Ian seemed to have slept well last night. I gave him pain meds before he went to sleep and checked on him at 2am. He never woke up until the morning and didn't ask for any pain med.

That is good to hear Stella, but in the early stages make sure Ian keeps up the pain meds (even is smaller doses), otherwise it will take more to help the pain.

Ian didn't want the meds because he can't swallow pills. I gave him a half smashed up and put in his juice. He's not good with pain nor the meds that help relieve the pain. lol

BTW, had a lot of laughs reading all of the bra fitting comments. Made my day! Never heard that stuff before. Probably never paid attention to it. Never had to worry about that until I started gaining weight after my hip injury, which was only in the last 8 years. Since my shoulder injury, I can only wear camis.

How is your shoulder Stella, any improvement? If my mind does not fail me were you going to acupuncture?

GOOD Mean Sudokuland. It is a cooler morning today, we have several cool days ahead of us. My closet is stuffed full, crowding summer things I needed last week in with the winter things I need this week. I did a minor sort yesterday and got it in a bit better order. OH to someday have a closet large enough for both my summer and winter clothing to live in harmony!

eaa, left a message on your page. It was a hard thing you had to do, but it was the right thing.

So much more I meant to comment on, you gals had a lot to say while I slept last night!

STELLA, I am so glad Ian had a good sleep, that does wonders for healing. Be sure he eats/drinks lots of vitamin C foods during recovery. C is the catalyst vitamin that is needed in building new cells, doing repair , promoting healing of his incision. Vitamin C and protein should help him heal faster. Now Nursey Tricia will take off her cap and hang it on it's hook hehehe.

Good MO ring HEIDI, just saw you sign on your computer, expect you to appear here again soon.

Broni, thank you for sending the rainbow poem.

Suzy, hope the teenage stuff eases some. having raised 3 girls, I sympathize. Pick your battles, you do not have time to fight them all.

Somebody suggested acupuncture but I will have to investigate it. I don't know where I would find one around here and I'm not sure if insurance will cover it. It is a good idea though.

Stella, you could smash his pills and put into applesauce, pudding or even cool whip! Might be better than juice. As long as they are not timed release pills, smashing is fine.

We tried applesauce and pudding yesterday. He said he could still taste it. He really is a big baby when it comes to medicine.

I have a lot of winter clothes, so I don't think they could ever cohabitate with the summer ones. Just not enough room!

forgot to say, just one tablespoon of any of the above, crushed pill added on top of the spoonful(in the spoon) and mixed. That way makes sure your patient gets all the meds, not leaving some in the bowl or glass.

STELLA, you have a lot of winter, good reason to have a lot of winter clothes. I have a lot of summer, so more the reverse here.

Good night Broni, sleep well.

the one spoonful is good, he can swallow and take a sip of something else to wash away the taste , with no breathing in between, If you co not breathe till you wash it down, you do not taste it.

and . Got woken up by the postman with a LOT of boxes. Some full of cow poop for IH, and some stuff I bought on eBay. One of the boxes contained the wrong thing, so had to contact the seller. PLUS, I have a headache again.

Good Maen.
Stella - so happy to hear Ian's surgery went well.
Broni - it is going to be a skype-o-rama at your BBQ. I had already let Keith know I would be checking in on Bean's notice page.
Speaking of our secret bean - hope you are feeling better today and that the doc's meds helped. I know you don't want to miss the show.

Thanks for the look-sees on my page. I planted 200 daffodils in the one area and then a hundred more across the creek. Those ones are salmon colored and have not quite bloomed yet.
To me it doesn't look like 200 in the one area where they are blooming. Guess it may take a year or two to really take off.
