I had a lovely chat with Heidi and then Keith and Lynne. I also got some messages from others sending me their details. Should be fun when Keith is here.I will have to make sure there is plenty of room for everyone in the computer room.
I was feeling great and went out in the yard to finish cleaning the fish pool and it has made me itchy again. I wish these hives would go away!

Believe it or not I made it to the garden show!!! Was there just after it opened before the crowds arrived. If it hadn't been for Pete dropping me at the entrance I would never have made it... as it was it was an effort just walking around the display gardens. I stopped at every seat I saw and justified its existence!! Took me a while to get around.

Checked out the beautiful floral displays and took a zillion photo's because I was too tired to dally and really 'look'...shortage of seats for me to rest on indoors...I looked longingly at the art display and tea rooms up in the gallery and knew I would never make it up the stairs and commonsense prevailed. I grabbed a couple of show bags and went home...

Pete picked me up at the gate...by that stage I couldn't half walked another step but it was worth it. I did well in the few hours I was there...spent a lot less money than I usually do when I am there for my usual 6-7 hours. Now that WAS A BONUS!!!

And now ...surprise, surprise....I'm going to go and lie down for a couple of hours! Had a few comments to make but I'm too tired to remember what now...

Gail I told Lachie that we weren't welcome if we were still sick...he has been very concerned re my welfare ever since...very concerned that today I may have overdone it etc. etc.
"are you sure you are ok mum?".....
Funny thing is I think he is more concerned about a couple of galah's he wants to catch up with more than concern for his poor old ma....LOL

eaa - I don't know if you're already a grandmother - if not you're in for the best time of your life, if so there's always room in a Grandmother's heart for another one. Congratulations to you all!

eaa, wonderful news at your becoming a grandmother in August. Send our congratulations to son and DIL, hope everything goes smoothly.

Bean pleased that you managed to get to the show but it sounds as if you maybe shouldn't have gone, but I would have done the same.

Good Mean Sudokuland! I awakened today to the sound of rain on the roof, and thunder in the distance. I do wish I could share rain with some needing it. After the lst rain , I read we were 5 inches ahead for the year, and the lakes are full. A couple of local catch ponds that have never been full arefull and overflowing now.

eaa, congratulations on the wonderful news. New babies are always a blessing. I am sure you are going to be a fabulous grandma. If you need any grandma advice, there are several people here that can help. Of course, the beastie boys will give you a grandchilds perspective.
Bean, Glad you were able to go to the garden show. Hope you are feeling better soon.

OH MY, THREE AND A HALF HOURS with no posts? Well, it is late for the Aussies, if that is the correct time showing. A check with world clock says nope, not correct time still, it is 11:40.

Today is bread making day again. I like my bread better than my biscuits, I think Al likes biscuits best. Well, he had his biscuits, time for me today hehehe. Nope, do not do both at once, would either encourage too much bread eating or one of them would go bad fore we could eat it all. We are getting to the humid warm weather, just fine weather for mold on bread.

Send some over for my MizT.

We have been out with the dogs for a walk on the heath. Callie running free but Indi still has to be on a long line until we can be assured of her training to recall.

Cats do not always land on thier feet, I have proof. I was typing away on computer, and Scooter fell off her favorite perch, the computer tower. Landed on her side, looking so very confused. One paw was on the keyboard, so she was sending some message to cyber space.

I tried relocating her to the cozy blanket nest on the bed, nope. but it has been several minutes and she still has the WHAT HAPPENED look, poor kitty.

all. I got to sleep in this morning.... so feel good.
MizT.... I like to put fresh bread in freezer bags and freeze all I can't eat in a day. Bread doesn't get moldy, and tastes as fresh when defrosted. I'm a big bread lover, and hate wasting the stuff.

When I was a kid, we had one cat that never landed on his feet. Not that he didn't try. I always kept my upstairs bedroom window open for the cats.... in warm weather... and they would come and go constantly. Next to my bedroom window was a greenhouse, and next to that was a swimming pool. Every time it rained, that cat would run across the roof to get in my window, hit the greenhouse roof, and go flying off to land on his back in the swimming pool. (in the 15 ft. deep end) It was one of the funniest things I've ever seen. None of the other cats ever did that.

Heidi I would expect Screech to land on her back, but not Scooter. I think she was just lulled into such a deep sleep she relaxed to much for the position she had assumed.

I have used up a lot of my spare time today looking for a certain kind of flower seed. Several years ago I could get these annual flowers in a 3 pack at a local nursery. The nursery has gone out of business ( family dispute after the Mom who owned property died). I have not seen them since. so I thought i would try seed, nope, only found one company packaging the seed for same and they aere out of stock.

what I want is zinnia angustfolira or narrow leaved Zinnia, sold as White Star Zinnia. Those flowers did so very well on my hot, sunny front porch. Bloomed from the time I set out the seedlings till frost. Small white blooms with golden centers, like smaller daisies. I did see some Perfusion Zinnias that are similar, in lovely colors, with many of the asttributes of Star Zinnia. Might have to order those or look for them at nursery.

I'm back from a hay run. The grass hasn't grown enough to completely feed the cows, so I had to buy more hay. I still have to get 6 more rolls hauled. Probably tomorrow morning.

Hi Heidi, hopefully this will be your last hay hauling as the grass should be starting to grow soon. I know our grass is sprouting well though I haven't enough to feed a cow

I'm having to add hay to the horses' diet. They have mowed so well there isn't enough grass - even if it was sprouting...
