Greetings Sudokuland. I am slowly motivating around today. Like Heidi, it is cold and windy here, but thankfully no rain here. Cloudy, a miserable, yucky day!
Oh that cheerful note . . . I am happy to report I am on the green side of the dirt!
Today seems like a chili day, I should go 'shop' for mince and cook up some beans.
Stella, is there any way Ian could change classes just before the rest of the students do? when I was in school a handicapped girl did that every day.
Broni, the smoke detector should not be used as kitchen timer!
Photos and statistics our of Italy are so sad. Their plan to get everyone into temp shelters by nightfall is ambitious, I hope they are successfull.
June, good luck with your cupboards.
I am off to look for warmer clothing, need polar fleece today!
Hugs to all, check with you alter.

Hopefully, Italy will be better at getting help to it's people than FEMA was to us. NINE days to get water and other emergency help in, and the food they brought was tainted with salmonella!!!!!

It keeps changing back and forth from rain to snow. It's hovering just above the freezing mark.
I need to leave to get the last of the hay. Ciao.

Just wanted to say a quick hello. I am on a week vacation but have a lot of work. Suzanne went back to her aunt this morning. I will pick her up again Wednesday and she will stay for a few more days. I have 12 people for dinner Wednesday for Passover. She is going to help me cook. I have a pot of chicken soup on the stove that I will freeze for the holiday.

It snowed most of the way there and back on the hay run. Fortunately my tractor has a heater and wipers, so it wasn't bad.
Oh, and one of my new front teeth just came out!

OH HEIDI, you do have bad luck with your teeth! Hope you can get that tended to soon.
It is just cold and cloudy here today. I am going back to bed, what else is a day like this good for? Oh we did make a big pot of chili and a pone (old fashioned word) of cornbread. Al said it was so good, he would not mind having again for dinner, yipee, no more flinging food today!
Tami, enjoy your week off, it is nice to have help with cooking for 12, lots more fun than doing it alone. Passover is very close to Easter this year, it is not always this close is it?

Passover and Easter are usually close together. I don't mind cooking. Of the 12, 2 of them are the beastie boys. I don't cook fancy. I am making a turkey and a roast beef. It will be a traditional meal. Gefilte Fish (a blend of chopped fish served cold) and chopped liver. Then chicken soup with matzoh balls. Roast beef, turkey, veggies and potates. Something for dessert. Simple, traditional menu.

The tooth coming off doesn't hurt. It was already dead. It's just an inconvenience. I tried calling my Dentist's office repeatedly today, with no answer except their machine. If the same thing happens tomorrow, I'll call the Dentist at home.

Morning all! Finally an empty house!
Ebob is doing work experience this week and is having a great time - so far. Yesterday she got to sample water around Jervis Bay, had McDonald's for lunch, and then got to make up petri dishes to see if any coliforms grow. Today she gets to go to a conference - all day in a meeting... wonder what she'll think of that?!

MizT, I think I'd like some of that chili and cornbread. I'll have to search out a recipe and give it a shot. Not today though, there won't be time for a sit down dinner tonight - it's Tuesday.
June, yay! Only a few days away!
Heidi, sorry about the tooth.
Tami, I got to go to a passover dinner once. It was great! Do you do the reading and the matzoh hunt?

I wondered why there was so much damage in Italy until I read it was a medieval town. I don't think they had building standards in those days. So sad. I read one young man went back to his collapsed room to get his computer - I've lost the word, but putting that side by side with a medieval town was ... lost another word! Maybe I should go back to bed!!

Good morning lovely SA8 people.
Heidi - more dental problems? You took me back to my childhoos with the Gunga Din comment - my Mum always used to say that!
June - glad the hives are gone. Haven't had hives since I was a kid but I remember the discomfort.
I'm forgetting everything I wanted to say.
Food - MizT and Tami - making my mouth water.
There was more but CRAFT kicked in.

News story of the day...
Primary Industries Minister Tim Mulherin says many people don't realise just how much cows and sheep contribute to global warming.
"In fact, methane from livestock contributes up to 14 per cent of Australia's total greenhouse gas emissions," he said in a statement on Monday.
"We are already known for cutting edge research on this problem, in particular investigating whether bacteria from kangaroos, which are largely methane free, can be implanted in cattle and sheep to reduce their methane production.

Tami, did not! I ain't scared of you, so there!
the chili and cornbread were both proclaimed "excellent" by hubby, both times he ate it.
Suzy, what do you need a recipe for, the chili or the cornbread? I understand your comments about medieval town, computers and Juxtaposition. it is ironic how technology can live side by side with 13th century architecture.

Sorry Tami, ffuts got in the way!
It was such a fun night! I sometimes wonder if 'his' children get to participate. He married a Catholic lady and they agreed to expose the children to both religions. A complicated agreement which may have changed over time!

Hello SA8!!!
I have gone through all of the comments and had a blast with some of the topics...such as the bra convo...
Glad Keith and Lynne have arrived safely, and I know they will have a great time with all of you.
Heidi and MizT, the rain, wind and cold as well as a few snowflakes have been here today too. It was awful on Saturday, beautiful on Sunday, but oh golly...today was a big mess. Same is forecast for most of the week...as someone said...so much for spring warmth!
Hope all are on the road to recovery, Hope the dogs make it to you Heidi, Congrats eea on being a perspective granny, the food talk has made me hungry and its after midnight here...so now I'll most likely dream about food stuff!
Welcome to Trouble's friend..I'll get to her page for a real welcome eventually...
Well craft and time are taking their toll and I will now hie myself to bed...Peace!
