It's after 2 am, so everybody.

It has changed from ice to snow. Lucky has been having a blast in it.

Sorry - got called away, hubby got home. Someone asked earlier, can't remember who, his ribs are still a bit sore. We bought a support thingy for him and it helps while he's working.
Heidi - oh, no, not another ice-storm. I do hope it's not as devastating as the last one. Take care.

I had a quick look at that website, couldn't see everything (funky connection and lack of time) but from what I did see I didn't see anything that I wouldn't want Ally to see in Year 7. Mind you, I don't think she'd want to see a lot of it! I didn't see the abortion bit so I can't comment on that. Ebob says abortion is covered at school in almost every subject in Year 9 (by movie), including how it might make you feel, choice vs right to life etc etc.

Evening SA8. Not as wet in Port CynB now thank heavens.
Had a new hair colour put into day with my usual foils of blondy bits.
It is a new Italian colour range my hairdresser is using and the colour is called 'Light Violet Brown'. Eggplant is a good name to describe the colour. I will post a couple of pics on my page in a tic.

Hello dear SAers...back from my mini-trip down the mountain. Had a lovely time with my friend "the other Vickie".
Looks like we're gonna have rain all week - makes me quite happy - the garden needs lots more.

Anyone need coffee this morning? It is cold but sunny, lovely looking day till you go outside. Cats even turn around when the cold air hits their nose, and they have on fur coats!

Just uploaded some pictures of the first tulips to bloom in my yard - what a wonderful homecoming that was! Also one of my more unusual daffy-down-dillies (as our very own Judy calls them)

All. The snow from last night is mostly melted. When I went to bed, everything was white and icy. I was kinda expecting to awake with no power. This is one time when I love being wrong.

Heidi, glad you have power and snow is melting. This morning I checked and your temp was warmer than mine. Something is seriously wrong with that picture. Wind chill is still not above freezing, baby it is cold outside!

We're not THAT far apart. It's 37 F and very windy here. The wind chill makes it below freezing.

I need to have brekkie, feed Lucky, then get ready for 20 chicks (Marans... chocolate- colored- egg layers) arriving either tomorrow or Thursday. The turkey poults don't arrive until next week.

The Dentist can't fit me in until Friday afternoon. I have temporarily glued the tooth back in myself, so it looks the same.

Heidi, you are the only person I know who will fix their own teeth.

Heidi, usually you are several degrees colder than I am here. I have had enough of this cold spell, it can move on out pronto, if waiting for my permission

We have at least one confused hummingbird here. We saw it buzz the back porch, looking for the feeders Sunday afternoon. Al got them out, cleaned them and got one hung in place. this morning I saw one come and lite on the feeder and proceed to drink and drink and drink, never saw one sit so long. Not many flowers in bloom here and with the cold weather, hummers need a lot of sugar to produce heat. We will have to keep a watch on the levels, make sure they have enough the next couple of days.

at 11 am, we have made it to 40 at last, but wind chill is still below freezing. NOT a good day to be outside.

Tami, my hubby did same, when he had crowns that would come loose. super glue worked nicely.

Tami, it is strange, unusual, to see you posting mid day on a week day. Are you enjoying your time away from school?

I need to glue them in temporarily only. Super glue is too strong. I use apoxy-sculpt, which will pop off cleanly any time I want it to.

I am loving my time away from school. When I go back there is only 8 more weeks of school.

How are you doing Heidi?

IH was watching me feed the dogs last night. His jaw dropped when he saw Lucky run into his crate to be fed. He commented "Wow, is he smart!", to which I replied that Lucky has been doing that since the second day he was here. Very smart pup.

I'm doing pretty well. My sleep patterns are FINALLY starting to adjust to normal. Slight headache still, but that's bearable.

Glad things are going well. Did I mention that my friend Suzanne has a dog named Heidi. She is a shepard/husky mix (I think)

It sounds like Lucky is not only a smart dog, but also a lucky dog.
