But since I've already named female cats Fido and Rover, that makes as much sense.

My last female rabbit was Todd. I'd like to have this one sound a little more feminine.

Speaking of printouts Stowaway.
I printed off something the other night and the page had all this yukky stuff on it.
It was a cockroach. Was being the operative word.
I may have to take the printer to get it cleaned and serviced as now it will not print out correctly. I have done all the maintenance that I can here but it has not fixed it.

everybody. Up early, 'cause guests are arriving in about 5 hours, and I need to do SOME clean-up at least.

I've got a bunch of chicks in the incubator now! And they're still hatching.

Heidi, how many baby chicks are you expecting? I think fluffy fuzzy baby chicks are sooo cute!

When I was small, we visited a relative of Mom's who lived on a farm. WAY rural, they had a well for water and lots of animals. I was walking out the back door, through the enclosed back porch with my Aunt Jewel, and heard this peep peep. I detoured to check it out. the cutest black chick you have ever seen. Aunt told me the hen had rejected this chick, and all the siblings would attack it, so she brought it inside. It lived in a shop box. It was sooo cute and stopped it's insistent calling once I picked it up. I begged to take it home with me. Took a lot of begging, and no one thought it would live, but I got it. My grandfather who lived next door to us, and raised chickens, helped me raise it.

Now all I remember is Peeper as a cute fluffy baby, and Peeper as the grown, mean rooster who flogged anyone who walked into the back yard! Grew up to be the meanest thing you ever saw. Maybe his Mom knew something we did not know about him?

After he attacked my younger brother and did bodily harm, it was decided Peeper should be 'offed'. He was a tough old bird, to tough for anything but the stew pot, so grandmother made chicken and dumplings from him. My sister cried and left the table, she could not eat Peeper. Brother and I, who had been the targets of Peeper's many attacks, ate with a hearty appetite

Yeah.... roosters that have been raised as pets frequently get REALLY mean. They have no fear of people. The same is true of most exotic pets. When they mature, disaster usually follows. hen I worked at the Zoo, I saw that with orphaned babies. If they were reared as pets, they came to a tragic end. I don't think I'll tell any stories, though. Nobody here wants to hear the gory details.

I have cooked Rolando's recipe for Steak and pineapple, my kitchen smells yummy. I like getting dinner's main dish prepared early in the day. No matter what else the day holds, I can quickly finish up our evening meal.
