Oh dear, Cyn, look at the count first!
My Mum had a fall yesterday and was taken to hospital for XRays - it's difficult with someone in her condition to find out just how injured they are. Anyway, my sister and I rushed up there and after 3 1/2 hours and a few XRays she was pronounced OK and sent back to her care unit. So we breathe again for the time being. This is a bit traumatic for us because that's what happened to Dad, he fell, broke his hip, had a hip replacement op and didn't recover, he was gone in a week. We hope Mum has a more peaceful passing when it happens.

I stopped back in to find I missed Cyn. Glad you had a good time with the grandies. My mom says the same thing when she has the beastie boys. She wouldn't trade it for the world, but she gets tired.

Just dropping in. The draft is finished. I'm off for a break then I will read it again. If it passes muster, it's off.
Cyn, sorry to hear about your Mum's fall and glad she was alright in the end. I hope she doesn't have too many aches and pains.
Gail, sounds like you have arranged another wonderful get together.
Hopefully the next time I post I will no longer be frustrated and can go back to being a stowaway...

Great news, Suzy. Do you think you have enough words now? I would think that quality was more important than quantity. But that's why I'm not in academia.

Heidi, glad dinner was delish. I find I enjoy most any dinner I did not have to cook or clean up after
Good nite Tami, see you tomorrow.
Cyn, happy to hear nothing was broken with your Mom. Know it was an anxious time for you.
Good Night Sudokuland, time for all good little girls (and Tricia too), to be in bed. See you tomorrow.

Broni - my grandie recovery efforts - slept a few hours, watched some TV - generally laid around doing nothing. But I wouldn't change it, they are great fun and they love their Nanny & Poppy.

Raining here, too. Hard.
Well, it'll help the grass and hay grow. But it means that Daisy doesn't go out in the pigeon pen.

So where does Daisy go Heidi? and how is Lucky and Lady.

Daisy has a hutch in an open sided shed next to the barn. She's sheltered, yet has fresh air and sunshine. But not a whole lot of exercise.
Lady and Lucky are doing great. Both are completely at home here.

Great, so Lady has settled in, no more peeing on the floor then? Is Lucky house trained too?
Sure Daisy won't mind too much not getting a wet cotton tail.

Lucky has been house trained from day two. He had one accident on the floor when he first arrived, watched me clean it up, realized that it was not supposed to be there, and has never had another accident. He's a smart boy. In Lady's case, I've had to instruct IH to let her out when she needs to. She hasn't learned the dog door yet. I don't miss when she asks to go out, but he has.

Good Mean Sudokuland!
Grey day here today, with rain forecast. YUCK! I hope it does not rain all day. But my main hope is no severe weather, Alabama has had enough lately. we need our trees!
SUZY, great celebratory news article. What will they think of next? A nice organic smell? I am not so sure about that! And all the paper made from one wombat? Just how much poo do they produce a day?
Congrats on having the paper finished. Hope you sleep well now, knowing the job is done.
Heidi, I thought you would have had Lady trained to the doggie door by now. Surely there is some way to encourage her through that first time. Seeing the other dogs go through does not do it for her?
Broni, good luck finding books to do, surely there are opportunities out there. Here we have found it works well to run the same add several times repeated in same paper. After people see it for a while, they will call. Not sure why that works, but works for us. Maybe it seems familiar and friendly and reliable if they have seen it before.
VIV, glad your posts got through at last. good to see you and thanks for trying again and again.
CynB, now we know why they are called Nana naps! You be Nana for a while and you need one

MizT.... to get to the dog door means crossing the kitchen floor. Lady is finally getting over her fear of the tiled floor, but the combination of the floor and the door has been too much for her. She will eventually learn.

Ahhh, yes, the tiled floor. That explains a lot. Now when you let Lady out, does she still have to walk across the tiled floor? or is she going out a different door when you let her out? I hope she learns soon, poor doggie.
JUNE, hope you have a wonderful and relaxing trip! See you next month.
