It's supposed to rain for the next 3 days here. It IS April, after all. April showers bring May flowers.

Good afternoon all.
I will probably have missed June by now but hope you have a god holiday.
Cyn the beauty of having grandies is that you can hand them back when you get tired and had a lot of fun with them.
Gail/Bean looks like Keith had a good day with you. Photo is great.
Suzy, congrats on finishing your paper you will feel so much better now that is out of the way.
MizT, last craft show I went to no many people were buying. I did hear one of the stall holders say that she hadn't sold anything in the two days of the show. Though I must say her garden fabric sculptures were lovely to look at but not that practical for most peoples gardens and were very expensive.
Tami sounds like the boys had a good day at parties.
Crafts has got me again but hope everyone else is well.

I'm glad that your Mum didn't break anything Cyn and you had a great time with the Grandies. You realize the energy that you DONT have anymore with them around.
MizT..at least you got to see some nice things and get a few ideas at the craft fair, the weather didn't sound too good though.
June..bet you have a wonderful time in Tassie, enjoy the well earned break away.

Nola, I liked the weather as it was. Not hot, not high humidity. I

the few sprinkles we saw were not even enough to be noticeable. Well, I did have on my widest brimmed hat, no rain fell on me. My own private umbrella on my head hehehe.

Thanks for the reminder Nola.
Pleased your mum didn't sustain any injuries after her fall.
Heidi, we used to have rabbits which we allowed into a secure run during the day. Eventually they couldn't be caught to be put back into their hutches. They actually dug themselves a burrow in which they were quite happy. We still put their food into the hutch for them but try as we might we never managed to keep them in there. Having said that if we did catch them they were still very tame and enjoyed a cuddle.

We have had a lovely weekend weather wise. Warm and sunny.
Had a chinese take away last night, D#1 had a couple of friends over for the evening. Had a laugh at them playing on the Wii. (these are not children ages from 25-33) They played on that until the early hours of the morning. Unfortunately D#1 isn't very well now bad stomach and visiting the bathroom frequently. Don't know why as no one else has had a problem.

Adults can make it through, but no strangers would try. My collies don't react well to uninvited people sneaking in. The few who've tried were hospitalized.

All this talk of rain... we have overcast weather with rain forecast for 5 days in a row. Right now I'm happy to see it as everyone has clothes again. (gnihsaw is up to date). In 5 days however, I might be getting nagged about the location of underwear....

Tami, shopping with Mum and Dad sounds like fun. Your Mum sounds really nice. My mother has her first computer and will have internet access this week some time - she lives in the boonies so these things take time. She tells me she won't be on here though, too busy...

Nola, posting at 4.36am probably on your way to work - I don't think I'd survive with your schedule!

MizT, french toast, yummy. And not too many carbs if you only have one piece. Clever.

BTW, do you still have the link to the article about bicarb soda and baking powder? I should have kept it!

June, my bread is only one serving of carbs each, I can have 2 pieces of french toast plus one small serving fruit for my 3 servings of carbs allowed at breakfast. My fruit of choice was unsweetened applesauce, mixed with cinnamon and Splenda and warmed. nice sub for the forbidden syrup. The 2 hour after blood sugar was just fine.

June, I'm not sure which is better, wireless or 'wired'. We can only get wireless where we live, and it's not that reliable.

MizT, is that homemade bread or special low carb bread from the store?

Tami, I think that will be a wonderful project!

I do not have to go to Tassie for wombat poo. D1 has them on her property!
Although I have packed warm clothes my small case still has some room. (We have learned to travel light)

Hmmm. Reading an article about a 'shamed cop' and suddenly realised he had the same name as a man I used to work with. This man was really creepy and is the reason I don't like to wear nail polish on my toes (don't ask, ewewewew). Out of interest, I googled the name. Turns out it is a really common name! Who knew?

Double hmmm. Imagining me trying to fit into a small case... maybe 10 years ago.

Which reminds me... yesterday we measured Ally's height and discovered she is only about 5mm shorter than me now! I will soon be the shortest in the family.... sob

That's possible too Broni. Butcher birds sometimes come down to my dogs food. You should have seen them when we had a mouse in a cage back there - they stalked the poor thing!
