Cool and raining still. I had a bad night, too. I pulled a muscle in my right arm, and it hurts like crazy to use it. And I have a low grade fever, so I felt hot and clammy all night. Not much sleep.

Nola, I can't get over how early you are up to go to work. Dogs are good for security! We don't worry about anyone coming in from the back of our place. But on windy nights they imagine all sorts of things and bark.

Wow, just got blown away by Britain's got talent again. I'm not generally a fan of shows that have as a part of their appeal showing some people looking really bad, but I have to say I think I would watch this show in future.

I watched an interview with Susan Boyle this morning and she says that too. She was so grounded I was very impressed. Not at all the impression she created initially.

one of my fav movies is Sound of Music (saw the movie when I was 10 with my younger brother) and my first record was the Sound of Music..

After pondering my idea, and pattern making, Sitting and Thinking, Pining Zips and pattern pieces together, changing patterns ideas .. I have finally cut real material, and will use the machine that joins materials together today !! so hopefully the secret pocket will emerge inside a shorts pocket..
with that one done and to my satisfaction, Production Line - another 11 to go.. 2 x pair of shorts x 6 pairs of shorts.

That secret pocket is such a great idea! Are you going to make a long pair of pants too just in case the weather sucks? Or are you going to be optimistic?

Rolanda - I saw the movie when I was 17 with my 17yo boyfriend (George). We had lived on a steady diet of Beatles, Rolling Stones etc and thought this was one corny movie for the oldies. I have seen it since and don't mind it but there's something inside me that just can't clear that corny feeling away. Probably because I read that while they were making it Christopher Plummer used to refer to it as 'The Sound of Mucus' (ewwwwww! TMI?)
My daughter, however loves it and it has been her perennial fave.

As you can see, I'm not doing what I'm supposed to be doing - gnikrow! CU later.

Oooh! Just remembered! My late former boss was an extra in TSOM as a young man. He was driving coach tours through Europe and was in Salzburg one day with a coach full of tourists and they were asked to be extras in the 'Do Re Mi' scene. Have looked but couldn't find him - he could pick himself out though.

Newsflash!

I have totally corrupted my mother. When I first moved back to Australia she wouldn't have an answering machine. First I got her to get a cordless phone, then an answering machine. Then she got a mobile phone. Then a computer. And now email!!!! She's all the way technologically corrupted!

Stopping in for a quick hi and bye. I have been on the computer doing work for school and now I am falling asleep. I better get in bed before I fall asleep on my keyboard. Catch you all tomorrow.

Why does it have to be so complicated to get a water heater? Hubby doesn't want any off the rack thing, he wants the new fangled blardy blaas. So I've told him to make the phone call!

mind you the thought had crossed my mind..... failing making new ones with secret pockets, I do have long pants to take with me, including noice ones for evening wear !!

At least it wasnt a long weekend Stowaway, when the heater gave up.. Not like ours did some years ago..
Fortunately we were away the long weekend.. but still took most of the following week before a new one was installed !!
Nothing like sloshing Hot Water in a Bucket in the Shower Recess !! SIGH!!

Suzy - maybe you (or your mother) could bring my sister into the 21st century technologically. She is hopeless. She can't even work out YouTube. Even though I have sent her links - she can't open them. 18 months older than me and 20 year behind in technology.
