Hi everyone! Haven't been around much lately - sending a lot of time on Family History sites at the moment. I've been in contact with a distant cousin in Norway, who is also in contact with cousins in Ukraine, Sweden and New Zealand ... mmm, time for another trip o/s? ;)

Good Maen friends - hope everyone has a sunny day/starry night. No sunshine here for almost a week, but my garden and I are quite happy about this wet weather.
Suzanne - lovely to hear that spring has sprung in Utah.
Suzy Q - maybe you had (I hope it is "had" by now) a headache coz of how you stuffed yourself at lunch with Bean and Gail (hehehe)

Judy - how interesting it must be to be finding all this family all over the world. Good to have you pop in with an update.

Just came to me in a flash...someone was talking about sewing all her son/hubby's (?) loose pants out of psychedelic material...
Where they what we used to call 'Happy' pants?
My son who is now 25ish (EEK! Two things 1. He is that old, and 2. I can't actually work out how old he is!) lived in them. He still to this day, has never worn a pair of jeans, and still prefers a 'cargo' style.

I love hearing about all your gardens. I have been very tardy in the garden, and have to really kick start myself into action. The green bin goes out this week, so I will do a little more pruning, especially the gentle haircutting of all the things that browned off during our heat wave, back in Jan/Feb. Should take a photo of the tree ferns and compare it with the one on the site, in the septic disguising bed.

Vici: what part of Cali are you in??? We lived in the Los Angeles area for 14 years. I really miss it (not the earthquakes though). It looks like we might get some more rain today, sun is out, but large clouds too.

I'm trying to download new smilies from a website called "smiley central", but it doesn't seem to be working, any suggestions?? I can put them in an e-mail, but not on this site.

You can ONLY add your own smilies to this site if you are a supporting member, Suzanne. Thats one of the perks.

Hello everyone.Just done the puzzle and am making a second coffee while reading.

Isn't Marmacita a beautiful writer? There is so much thought and compassion in her posts.
It was interesting to read about puzzles keeping the brain alert,I wonder how silly I would be now if I didn't do crosswords.During my lunch breaks,I always do the sudoku in the paper and they joke about me always having my face in a magazine etc.

Tomorrow,I am having a quote done for resurfacing the kitchen bench tops.It is an apoxy spray on stuff with a 10 yr guarantee.My SIL just had hers done and it looks great.Much less of a hassle than new tops altogether.

The hand is healing really well. All punctures but the deepest ones have healed up. The deepest one will take a while, but there's no infection.

Now I'll leave Suzanne by herself, and take another nap. The head is pounding. Suzy must have shared her headache with me.

I'm wondering why the puzzles aren't working for my brain...

Suzy: If you get migraines, sometimes (at least with me) it takes a day or two before you feel back to yourself...
