Nola - I sorry to hear about Greg's job loss. Like Suzy says...not the best time for that. I, too, will keep positive thoughts for him.
Suzanne - you are welcome to this avatar of mine...just copy and paste.
I just threw it up there in case you want it.
Suzy - GREAT NEWS - you are so close now.
Dinner's on - got to run!

I didn't get by yesterday to wish everyone a happy mother's day. I had figured out the VIP before she acknowledged it. The beastie boys got up early on Sunday to cook me breakfast. We had bagels and lox, deviled eggs and a blintz souffle. All of my favorite breakfast stuff. We then went to my niece's first birthday party. She had fun smashing her cake. My parents came for dinner and we had chinese food. We were going to go out but decided to just do takeout instead. It was a good day but Monday came and reality set in. Back to krow.

Hi everyone! Just finished reading the last few pages - you've been very talkative lately! I seem to be spending less time here since I joined the genealogy site - I guess time doesn't stretch the way it should to accommodate all my activities!
We went out to a Greek restaurant for Mother's Day - it was nice, a set "banquet" meal, lots of meat, not many veggies (the boys didn't mind that!) and little bits of sticky pastry things for dessert. The kids gave me some nice pressies - a lovely fuchsia, books, bunches of flowers, etc. Had a very nice time, which was good as I'd been miserable and teary the day before, for no reason that I could work out. Poor Rob! We went to the local Farmer's Market on Sunday morning, but I skipped the gym and Rob went on his own. Now I should go by myself - but it's nice and warm inside ...

Hi everyone, just writing to say TTFN, very tired still from this sinus c@#p!! 3 days is enough!! I HATE being sick...just glad the wind isn't blowing, when the wind blows out here, it is a MESS!!Also need MUCH more sleep, still very tired. If the insomnia keeps up, calling Dr., gotta find something to help..Tea helps, but may need something with Rx behind it!! Will see you all later, TTFN!

Suzanne sweeetie. Sinus problems are really nasty.
Have you tried slathering your chest with Vick's VapORub? It's really messy, but usually gives me some relief overnight.

Hello lovely people.
Nola - sorry about Hubby's job. Hope something comes along soon.
Suzanne - you've probably long gone to bed but Heidi's right about the Vicks. I get my hubby to rub it into my back and it eases the symptoms.
Glad the world knows it's Vici who is the VIP - she told me on Skype at Broni's.
Tami - your Mother's day breakfast sounds impressive.
Judy - my Mum did our family history as far back as she could possibly get in the 10-20 years prior to her getting Alzheimers. There's little left to do but to record new members.
Hello also to Bean, Rolanda, Suzy and anyone else around.

Suzanne - get better soon
Judy - your mother's day sounds wonderful
Cyn - my grandparents apparently looked into our family history, I heard snippets of it anyway, but I have no idea what happened to the work they did. Wish I did! eg My name is Irish, but my closest rellie over that way was Scottish...
Bean - did you get to see the movie?

Hello, Everyone!

Thanks for mentioning the Vicks VapoRub, Heidi. Suzanne, someone told me to try that on the bottoms of your feet, then throw on an old pair of socks.

Nola, I'm sorry to hear about hubby's job. Thinking positive thoughts here for a replacement soon.

Oh, DRAT, CRAFT's has set in. Since it's nearly midnight, I need to head off to bed, as we have an early morning - about 5:30 - to be up and ready to leave about 6:45 to get to an 8:00 appointment. Hope to see you all tomorrow!

Hi-di-hi Heidi - thanks for asking, all is well with us. Things slowing down with the mowing due to the cooler weather but Col is taking whatever he's offered, including maintenance work at a customer's farm from our previous business.

Gail, isn't that SO typical of service providers - everyone else can find a transfer that went into their account on the next day or at worst the day after. Do you mean to say that they cut your access KNOWING that payment could possibly be in their backlog?
Fill in whatever words are appropriate.

Suzy - Mum traced back several generations on Dad's family and her Mother's family but she didn't get far with tracing her Greek father's family especially as they were from a small island in the Ionian Sea, Ithaki. All she could get as far as a birth certificate for her father, who never knew his own birthday, was that he was born in 1885.
But it is all so very interesting. Have you ever watched that British program called 'Who do you think you are?' - they also did a few Australian episodes (Jack Thompson and Ita Buttrose come to mind). They are so interesting, even if to begin with you have little or no idea who the person is.

Cyn, getting back to the telecommy thing, I didn't have all the facts when I rang them unfortunately, hubby had paid the bill but the pooter screen took too long to come up with the info so that I could speak with any authority on the matter.
