More than you think. I've been feeling a bit itchy for the last couple of days, with a mild headache. All of a sudden, the itch started going out of control. When i looked just now, I was shocked.... I've got a nasty, raised, blistery rash pattern on my sides... more on the left. It looks like Shingles.

It seemed to start mostly across the left ribcage (bra area). Large area. And a 2 inch circle on my face at the same time.

I just looked that up, Gail. Doesn't look like mine. This has the same location patterns of Shingles.

But what is normal anyway Susan!
Heidi, I mentioned it because I just spent the weekend with my father and he has a rash that has been seen by a million specialists with scrapings and biopsies taken. He showed it to me and the first thing that jumped into my head was PR. He had told me about it over the phone, but it wasn't till I saw it, and he told me where it is on him that I made this presumptuous diagnosis.
I had it when I was younger. It is also known as 'the t-shirt rash' because it seems to be on the trunk and down the arms to where a t-shirt would be. Sometimes, mild exposure to UV can help.

Back later, I have to pop down to the shops for some sour cream. Making Beef Strog tonight, still trying to use up meat in the freezer, and not buy anything major till shopping day. Sour cream doesn't count!
Bye.

Hi Viv! I just went out for a while, but seeing I was at the shopping centre I just had to look at the clothes for a while. Some of the new fashions are just horrendous! (Even on young, slim people, I'm sure!) But finally found some things that (in MY opinion!) don't look too bad. It's quite depressing sometimes when nothing fits.

I had a beaut weekend. The drive there and back was easy peasy. Didn't go 'L' for leather but made good time anyway. Spent most of the time except for the last night with Bill, my father. He and I went through a lot of Mum's things and I have wrapped them all and brought them back home with me to disperse amongst the rest of my sibs. Mum collected paperweights, and while I knew she had heaps, I was gobsmacked at just how many there were. I should have counted them!
I slept in Mum's bed on Thursday night, then on Friday we knocked everything down and got it ready for the removalists to pick at lunchtime. The two blokes were great, very sensitive and good to have a convo with. From then on it was just a matter of wrapping her knick knackery and packing a few of the clothes items that Bill had yet to deal with.
He and I had a lovely oportunity to talk a few things through and I know it was good for both of us. He is doing quite well, playing golf once a week again (he was virtually housebound in Mum's last months) and is planning to visit an old school friend in Mt. Gambier for a few days. He has the chance to live again.

Hey Suzy, me too! Tuesday nights is 'cry night', a phrase my hubby coined because the shows I watch are real tear jerkers! Those shows have finished now, so I have let him have the TV back again. He and D#3 are watching Stargate...over and over again!

I also caught up with my brother, who turns 50 in May, so I will probably be going over there again. I may also 'pop' over there at the beginning of April as it will be Bill's 80th, the first of the firsts. He says he doesn't want to do anything for it, but I think it will break my heart to let it pass without any fanfare at all. Maybe I should take a tinwhistle over with me, just a little fanfare!

On Sunday night, I went up to my girlfriend's house to celebrate her birthday. She's so old, she turned 46 (I can say that because I am, and forever will be, a month younger than her!). We had a lovely night, good food and a little bubbly (I had to be restrained, I was driving home the next day). After everyone else had left or gone to bed, she and I stayed up till too late and finished off the rest of the bubbly! Someone had to do it!
We did a lot of talking and reminiscing and used a lot of tissues talking about our dear departed mothers. It was very cathartic.
