Still getting the TOPPs even though you are ill
The more you say about what you are suffering the more itr sounds like chicken pox rather than shingles

Even if you have had chicken pox before it is still possible to get them again. My SIL had chicken pox for the second time when she was in her late twenties after having them as a child

Heidi, can you call your doctor? I worry about you being home alone and getting steadily worse. spots all over, fever, yep, you got something and you need medical attention. Could a friend come take you to your doc? or to Urgent care? I think it would be a good idea to go today.

As far as I know, I've never had chicken pox. I called my doctor, and she can get me in in a little under 3 hours from now. The repair shop has sent a mechanic/ tow truck and IH is on his way home.... 1 hour away. If my truck isn't easily fixable, I can rent a car. I NEED to see the Doctor.

Morning all!
Brenda, you've reminded me I told Ebob I would bookmark the practice tests for her. We can practice online before we go in for the 'written' test - don't know why I call it that as it has been computerised for years!
Susan, I like the idea of the puffy things, wonder if hubby would go for it?

Nola, glad to hear the cyclone is moving away from you. He's a sloooooow cyclone! Considering how strong he has been it has been a relief to watch him stay out to sea.

Andrew had been doing the practice tests and getting himself so stressed that he was failing them. He has now taken the program off his laptop.

Brenda, since they introduced the fee to do them here I told Ebob she has to practice online first. She doesn't usually stress about tests, but this one is so hard for them - never having driven before some of the questions make no sense at all and can only be memorised.

The diagnosis? A nasty allergic reaction ..... to the sulphur dip I used on Mason a few days ago. The only drugs I'm allergic to are Sulpha's, and my brain didn't make the connection. I had used that dip before with no problems.

Ahhh, Heidi, that was one of the things I was thinking allergic reaction. Now do you have meds to help you get over it? antihistamines? allergic reactions can be dangerous, can interfere with breathing. So glad you got a diagnosis. Hope you are all better soon.

They gave me a shot in the butt at the doctor's (epinephrin maybe?), then put me on predinisone and antihistamine.

Hi everyone. Let see if I remember all I wanted to say.
Heidi, glad you are feeling better and it is not too serious.
Brenda, congratulate Andrew for me for passing the first part of the driving test.
Suzy, I love NCIS. My hubby watches it with me so that is not a problem.
Gail, my best friend is 5 months older than me and I never let her forget it. When we celebrate my turning 40 she made sure everywhere we went everyone knew it was my birthday and how old I was. I made sure everyone knew she was older.

OH HEIDI, how scary, trouble breathing, chest getting tight, and you home alone!
Just how far from town are you? Car rental place there? Ride in with the tow truck that took your truck in for the repair?
Get well, glad you got a nice shot in the buttocks. Fastest way to counter act that reaction! You should begin to feel better soon now, Been there, done that, and got my shot in the butt also, but not from sulfa, from aspirin! and I had taken aspirin all my life, but body said, ENOUGH, no more aspirin.
Could you feel your chest relax after the shot today? that is the first I realized my chest was getting tight, when it stopped. I really had not noticed that much, I was thinking about itching

Hi Tami, doing ffuts, etah ffuts... I'm trying to think of a close friend of mine who is actually younger than me... and I can't. People I enjoy chatting with at the kids' sporting events etc, yes, but none of my close friends... the closest is 4 years older than me. Even hubby is older than I am. Sooooo, does this mean I have an age-complex and only want to be around older people because they make me feel younger?????? An old fuddy duddy who only gets along with people with fuddy duddy ideas? Or maybe just lucky?

And yes, I did ride in with the tow truck. The driver and I had an insane experience once while taking my small tractor in for repairs an hour away. We enjoyed reliving it.
