It seems that SA7 is getting old and slow. It is time for a new page. Welcome to SA8.

I have a proud Mummy commentary - if you're sick of them, this is your warning!
Ebob has a friend who has been 'going out' with a guy for about a year. This boy tells Ebob's friend stuff like she can't wear a particular dress unless he's there, she can't go to the disco unless he goes, she can't talk to.... bla bla bla. Ebob has helped this girl stand up for herself and to understand that it's not okay for a 15 year old to be telling another 15 year old what they can and can't do - boyfriend or not. Note I say telling, not asking.

Hi y'all.
I am stuck at home today as my Mr.4 is sick. He has had a fever since yesterday which is not too high but wont come down with meds. And a bit of a runny bum. I suppose he has a stomach bug and I will need some (expensive) antibiotics to fix it up.
Poor little fella is coming up for hugs every 5 min saying I love you mummy, my belly is still sore.

Hi Shar! Don't you wish you could kiss it better? Like boo boos on fingers? Poor little thing...
I'm proud of her Broni. And it takes away some of the fear associated with kids growing up.

Good morning lovely SA8 people.
Heidi - glad you got diagnosed. That must have been a nasty allergic reaction.
Suzy - you young thing, there you go Madby is here and I think she may be younger. Good on Ebob, nice to know that not all young ones are followers.
Shar - hope the little one feels better soon.
Have a nice day all, in case I don't get back.

I am quite sure the little one has a stomach bug and we cannot get into the doctors for another 2 hours, and thats squeezing us in before he starts his first appointment.
Now I am sneezing my head off and stuffy as with a runny nose...
Oh dear. I dont think I will be able to make it to my massage and facial tomorrow. It is my birthday pressie from last month. Boo Hoo.

Suzy, I know that I am younger than you as we had this discussion once. My 3 closest friends are all older than me. One by 5 months and the other 2 by 3 years. I love being able to tease them. My hubby is 364 days older than me. He likes to remind me that we are the same age for 1 day.

Tami, for almost 2 months of the year, hubby is 10 years older than me... I used to tease him about it, but have forgotten to for the last few years.
My 'older' friends are not my cyber-buddies, they are my other-world-buddies.

I know that but I wanted you to feel that you have at least one friend who is younger than you. My brother is older than me by 4.5 years and I never forget to let him know.

Well back to the dentist today to get another packing in the tooth, will this ever end? Cannot complain considering all the other sickies around here.

I thought the tooth was history, Broni. Aren't they packing the hole? And why not stitch it shut instead?

Yep, Suzy, I'll put my hand up for 22, if anyone believes me. My daughter's kids think she's 28 (she's actually 36) - one day they'll do the maths.

Sorry Heidi, bad wording, yes they are packing the hole where the tooth was removed, he removed the stitches on Monday but due to the cut down the side of my gum it is taking time to heal. Pretty sure it is what they call a dry socket.

Broni - sorry about the tooth. Ughh, dry socket, I had one of them as a teenager and can still remember the pain. Someone else on SA had one recently but I can't remember who.
Bet you're pleased not to have to go to work on a day like this! Good day to stay home and veg out which is exactly what hubby is doing right now - asleep in front of the TV and it's not even midday here yet.

Just put some banana bread in the oven. I bought some bananas yesterday for the kids to take to school - Ally snatched them and said NOONE eats a banana until mum makes banana bread! Hubby and I have both had one, the rest are in the bread - what she doesn't know won't hurt her....

Cyn, I had my kids relatively late so had them convinced I was 10 years younger than I was - until hubby threw a surprise 40th for me and blew it.

Huh! Hubby sent me a text which just said 'yes'. When asked to explain he used shorthand. It ended up taking a couple more texts for me to get it, so I said 'okay now I get it'. AND he sent back 'That's ok u b blonde'!!!!!!!!!
