At least I heard that once Bonnie got over her initial shyness, she really took to this new owner. She will get a lot of love and affection.

That's comforting to know she took to the new owner. Hope she'll be as happy there as she was with you, Heidi.

First I get the White page of Doom, now I get the "Be the first to post" message. Rats.
I might be picking up a puppy in the morning. Our fearless leader needs to pull one from a pound about 45 minutes northeast of me. I'll be in that neighborhood tomorrow anyway.

Heidi, are you just doing an errand for your group? Or will you be keeping this puppy?

Suzy, I kept following links also
That complaint letter about Virgin Airlines food was pretty funny. The complaint about the aroused elephant ruining a honeymoon was good also! Wonderful beach photo on the "beach was too sandy" page, I have made it my wallpaper on the computer.
did I say I liked water?

This is an errand. If i can get the puppy out of the shelter, he'll then go to our leader's place. She'll have him Vetted, and do whatever else needs to be done. Since I will actually be passing within 2 miles of the shelter, it's logical for me to stop. But we haven't heard back from them as to when the pup can be released to us, so I may or may not be able to bring him back with me.

And since I need to be up in 7 hours, to sort out a steer to take to the processing plant in the morning, I'd better go. I'll be stopping to see the pup on the way home.

Have caught up reading...sorry to hear that Bonnie is not to come home to you but pleased to hear that she settled in and likes this new pack leader. Sounds like there is mutual liking and respect happening there which will turn into 2-way love and devotion which Bonnie deserves after her hard start in life.
Heidi.

Suzy and Mr. Suzy, I hope your anniversary was wonderful!
Happy Belated Birthday to Bobbi, and I hope all goes well with your medical procedure!
It was nice to see Becky and Kate and Mariana and others as I skimmed through the pages. I still have quite a way to go, but it's 1:16 a.m. and time to give my eyes a rest.
Good Night, Sudokuland! I hope to see you at least for a few minutes tomorrow.

Not too sure if it works well as an avatar now. I took this pic in my garden yesterday, whilst the sun was shining and the flowers looked so pretty.
Probably my photography skills at fault here.

Brenda, no self doubt here please!
Wendy was wonderful, thanks for asking everyone. Her op wound is healing beautifully, looks more like a nasty cat scratch down the side of her neck. Where the scab has come off completely, there is hardly a mark at all. It looks to me as though the surgeon has deliberately followed her natural age sag marks (I can say that as she is 14 years older than me!) and it will be virtually unnoticeable. She seemed bright, cheerful and rested after her week off from work. Very hopeful for the future.

Speaking of sisters, my oldest sis and her hubby are coming down from Sydney for the weekend, and those of us sibs who are in Melbourne will be getting together on Sunday for a yum cha brunch.
Continuing in the line of things that have happened in my family recently, her hubby has also been having mini strokes, cause yet unknown. Sydney sis has also just undergone a major medical procedure, so I think that brings the total of major events in my mob this year to approximately...umm...too bloody many! There's still more!

Gail how did your sons face eventually heal after his problem around the time of your mum's funeral. Hopefully he hasn't been scarred from it? You may have told us already but my memory is bad and I have just remembered about his accident

The lip healed well, I believe there is a scar on the inside of the lip but that's not bad. His tooth still needs fixing but it is obviously not high on his list of priorities! Luckily the tooth that broke was already a dead tooth due to an accident that had happened many years ago when he was in primary school. It had been 'fixed' but was always darker that the others so that was also on the list to be bleached. I spose now it will be a total reconstruction.

Pleased to hear that there has been no obvious scarring.
Well I had beeter go and wash my hair before I go out to lunch. I know I should have done it earlier but not long after getting up I have to drive hubby to the station and I didn't want to do that with wet hair. it was a bit chilly and foggy this morning.

And that, as they say in the classics, is that! I am tired after that drive across town today. Strange isn't it, I drive 8 hours straight to get to Adelaide, but I am more tired from the 1 1/2 hour trip to my sis's and back!
Thanks for the chat Brenda. BTW I hope you and all your tribe are well, I forgot to ask, sorry about that. Take care, catch you next time.

Evening SA8. Might have missed you by the looks of it Gail and Brenda. What sort of flower is that Brenda? Gosh Gail your family has had enough I think.
Thankfully I only have my knee annoying me here.
Well son is home from his job, his clothes are soaking, he has had his late tea I kept for him and now he is in bed.
Tomorrow after school I am taking him to the doctors as he has had this awful cough and the sniffles for weeks now.
He would not stay out of the ocean and continued to go bodyboarding but do you think I can get this through his head that it has not helped this cough etc.
Oh well 15 year old boy, what can I expect?
Night all.
