Hi Julie, what on earth are you doing here before bedtime?

I am not here, as you all well know. I am getting ready to go over to Wendy's today. She and I are going out to lunch, so I gather she is doing alright!
D#3 is home today, she has had a sore throat and cold for a couple of days and looked like manure last night (trying to be polite here!).

At last I found it, the 4 sentence report on the earthquake. It happened just before 7 pm local time on Tuesday. A 2.5 on the scale. It was about 60-70 miles ENE of my location, so no wonder I did not feel it. Long way for feeling one that small.

Interesting theory about your carpel tunnel leading to typos, Suzy. Now I would think I could get the i before the e, if that were my case, cause I have more trouble with my left, the E typing hand, than the right hand/wrist. The stronger I typing hand should be first, fastest, you think?

I think it is a technological manifestation of dyslexia, since the I and the E are each typed with same finger, just different hands.

Interesting, I have just discovered I have made dents in some of the keys of my keyboard, fingernail sized dents. I do not think my typing teacher would approve.

Good morning lovely SA8 people.
Broni - thanks for explaining 'Bogged" for Stella. I wonder what other term could be used for it.
Stella - hope you get an explanation for Ian's toe.
Gail - so pleased that Wendy's well enough to go out for lunch.

Dents MizT? You have just done a LOT of typing.

June, how is your cough and Sharons bronchitis?

I do NOT miss earthquakes at all. I don't think we felt any in Orange County, but Los Angeles County was different. Having escaped unharmed though, I am glad I have the memory of watching the concrete pool next door emptying itself by sloshing water over the ends. That was incredible! It was like it was made of rubber.

Most of you Australian women would know Kaz Cooke, the author. She is researching for her nex book - about women - and has an on line survey, if anyone is interested. It's about anything and everything - Body Image, relationships etc. It can be anonymous and I don't think it's exclusive to just Aussie women.

Take a look at - www.kazbook.com

Good morning...
Suzy I love that theory about carpel tunnel...I left it a bit late to have surgery for my ulna nerve release [and carpel tunnel] on my left hand. My little finger consequently is very weak and not much chop!! If I type slowly things are more likely to come out correct...if I'm typing fast [as in the chat rooms] the a is nearly always one letter behind... that is whne the I'm not doing weird things liek this....

Hi all. Just saw online that Natasha Richardson died of her injuries. The news broke about 10 minutes ago. She was only 45 and leaves behind 2 sons, 12 and 13.

I just got an email that the person fell in love with both Bonnie and a young female . She wants a few more hours to decide which of the two she's getting. This is the main problem with being a foster home.

Heidi, hope you get good news about you collie.
Suzy, Ally will get used to her arm soon. Remember she is at the stage where looks are important. She is going to be self-conscious for a little while but she will be ok.
Stella, hope Ian's foot is better soon. Good luck to Bryana. My niece just got her license and is doing good so far.
Cyn, how about just saying "stuck in the mud" instead of "bogged"? I had never heard the word before either but got an idea of what you were talking about from the description.

That's sad about Natasha Richardson, especially that she had two young sons. Part of an acting dynasty - the Redgrave family.
Heidi - hope they pick the other one.

Tami...thanks for the news update...
I was just thinking and wondering about her...haven't heard any news yet today.
Such a terrible thing to happen to anyone so young and particularly to the mother of young boys. It just strikes home to us how lucky we are to be here...just thinking in particular about Lynda, Ruby, Debbie's son, Jane's brother, Sully, [who left Mama far too soon] and the list goes on. Then there all of our family members,[I include our 4 legged ones as well] that have left us in recent times after living their allotted time amongst us. It is never easy to say good bye.
Natasha will be missed as do all those that have gone before her. May she RIP.

The rest of you get out there and live, love and enjoy life...DON'T sweat the minor stuff!!

Bean, you said it beautifully. I don't think we truly realize what we have until it is gone. My parents are not "spring chickens" anymore and I am thankful everyday that they are still with us and that my kids can enjoy their grandparents. My boys have all 4 grandparents still alive and living within a 45 min. car ride.

That should read 'Tami' not 'Debbie'.
I have been thinkning a lot lately about Debby losing her son. Then I got the name wrong - AND the spelling.

Well I don't know what I've walked into since I haven't read the comments yet.
I do hope all is well ...last I had read was about books being read and on loan from a library....cost of fines and stuff...the gauntlet being thrown by Bean re Melbourne vs Sydney being the best hostesses...I'm willing to be the judge of that contest...send me a ticket and I'll give the best review you could want...
Only other thing I can remember is that Heidi is now getting ready to breed something or other...her large collection of animals that are breedable and my crafts make it hard to remember that comment....so I'll go back to my catching up with the comments on this and other sites for a short while before I go to bed...Have a great day/night doing something that floats your boat...Peace.
