It seems that SA7 is getting old and slow. It is time for a new page. Welcome to SA8.

Bean, I hope you are feeling MUCH better now! Really, the best thing to do is get as much sleep (and fluids) as possible and let your body do what it's designed to do. I hope today is better for you!

Good evening everyone.
Broni, hope you feel better soon.
Heidi, glad your back is feeling good.
Tricia, you can send some of the rain this way, but wait until thursday. We can use the rain but I don't want any tomorrow as I am going on a field trip.
Forgot what else I was going to say.

Ooops. I think I meant Bean and not Broni. At least I got the "B" correct.

Heidi, how nice to hear that your back is feeling good enough to miss the epidural! Does that happen often? Maybe the lasso-ing of the ram and the sorting of bull, heifers and steers was helpful? Nah - must be something else. Anyway, it's great news. Now if you could just keep the headaches away . . .

MizT, how nice that the "milk fairy" thought of you and knew you could put it to good use!

Hello to Ian! We haven't seen you here very often lately.

Since so many of you are talking about mowing, it reminds me that the need for mowing here can't be all that far off - although Sunday's snow will need to melt first, of course.

Suzy, good for you for finishing the book! Somehow, I don't find time to read as many books as I'd like to.

A big HELLO to everyone who posted on pages 89 and 91 - and all those who will visit p. 91 today! Ta-ta for now.

Good night all. I have to be on a bus at 7:00 in order to take attendance and make sure all the little kiddies are there. We are taking 11 charter buses and I am in charge of bus #1. My boss is on my bus, and she put me in charge.

Don't tell me that my April Fools gag scared everybody away?

It took me a while to figure out your cute bunny and duckling avatar, Julie. Maybe I need to clean my glasses.

Good Night Mad Hatter and all the regulars! Bed time for me here. Catch you all on the flip side!

Ian, thanks for the information, but we are not near the coast. AND I am sure Hubby would not want to have to go off shore each time he wanted a smoke. heck, I cannot get him to leave his office to smoke outside like he once did!

The dogs are finishing their suppers, so I'm getting ready for bed.
I've gotta leave for the Doctor's at 6:45 am, so that means getting up in 6 hours.

I've gotten the "be the first to post" message, AND the White Page Of Doom. And my avatars and smilies haven't been approved YET , after nearly 2 weeks.

WOW....you folks are the best!!
The get well wishes certainly hit the spot...wasn't sure how I'd sleep last night after sleeping for the entire day yesterday but it was obviously what I needed...feel heaps better today...won't comment on how awake I am until I have attempted a puzzle.

It is so nice to be able to sit down without dropping off to sleep!! Obviously listening to what my body was telling me was the right way to go...oh, and of course following all your advice...
Suzi, Broni, Becky, Heidi, Nola, Brenda, Tricia, Rola, Julie, Tami, Judy...
Today I am going to take it quietly...Coles have a 4 day free delivery promotion going..so I might even do the grocery shopping on line and really take it easy. At this rate I will be well enough to go to the garden show on Saturday. Opened today and here is a link to some photo's from today

Heidi...maybe if you resubmitted them...do you keep a record of what you have submitted? It sounds like they may have got lost.
Hope you sleep well and the epidural goes well tomorrow.

Tami...be careful bandying the 'B' word around where Broni and I are concerned... according to an email that went around a while back we are first class B's... wish I could remember exactly how it went ...

Afternoon all!
What is happening to today? Nothing is getting crossed off my list! And that's the whole reason I wrote a list - so I could cross things off...

I think I read a day or two ago on easy that someone else was waiting for avatars that had been submitted a while ago. I can't remember who, but I know it was someone other than Heidi.

Tami, that sounds like a 'stressful' day!

Bean, glad to hear you are feeling better.

How did the Mad Hatter not have a 'check out my page' bit? That's REALLY sneaky! I want to know how to do it....

There were several people complaining about their 2 week wait for avatars on easy. Apparently, Gath isn't on the case yet. Is he sick?????

If I had thought quickly enough this morning I could have come up with an April Fool's joke for in here... I got Ebob though. Had her convinced she had a flesh eating virus. And before you say that's cruel - she deserved it! She's being a teenager and that's not allowed!!

Suzy, if you go to your "Update Details" page there is a place where you can add an alias. Of course, you will need to change your avatar. I don't know if this is only for supporting members or applies to everyone.

Hi Everyone, I do keep up to date with what happens here but normally I'm days behind and it's pointless to comment.
June, I'm sorry to hear about your "break-in". Something similar happened to my mum. She was talking to her brother one Christmas night a few years back when someone came in through her bedroom window and stole her handbag. Fortunately her phone is in the kitchen. We think they kept an eye on her to make sure she didn't go elsewhere. It was quite expensive for her as she then had to have security grills installed around the house.

Thank you Victoria! I remember that now, but I think you are right, supporting members only...

When it happened to me Mum drove up to Sydney and put screws in the windows - 2 for each, open a few inches and closed. We just unscrewed them when we wanted to move the window. Of course I was a poor Uni student back then and was renting a flat so security grills were completely out of the question! The temporary solution - while waiting for Mum to arrive was a male friend asleep in a bean bag. He was a good friend. Wish I knew how to contact him now...

I just searched for him on facebook - 36 people with the same name, and only 4 or 5 of them with photos... drat.

The file is printed so I'm back to my list...

Hello lovely SA8 people.
Beanie - hope you feel better soon and don't miss your flower show.
There's been a lot of discussion about avatars not being approved for 2 weeks on Easy so you're not alone Heidi.
Craft's got me again - I was going to say something about Heidi's back and MizT's milk fairy but the mind has gone blank!
Oh Yes - nice to see Becky around and hope all is now well with you.

Becky, I am sorry to hear that you have been going through a rough time. I can only hope it gets easier for you. I agree, sometimes hubbies are worth their weight in chocolate for all the things they have to put up with. Hope my hubby doesn't start to lose weight like he's supposed to!

I'm just back from having High Tea (yes, you read correctly! High Tea!) with my sister and Aunty Vi. That was our present to her - what CAN you give a woman of 90 - she asked for no gifts. We had ribbon sandwiches - ham, smoked salmon and, yes, cucumber. Then mini-vegie quiches, scones with cream and jam, assorted little cakes, tarts and slices with our choice of freshly brewed tea or coffee. Superb - and all for $29.95 per head. Served on crisp white linen, silver service and Royal Albert China - & friendly, attentive staff. The only other times I've partaken of High Tea were in the Pump Room in Bath UK and at The Royal Doulton Factory in Stoke-on-Trent UK in 1996. This was just as good. Yummo!
