Hi Gail - nice to see you about.
Now I understand 'tissue night' but I'm with Suzy - I don't want to start. I get too emotional.
Hope your real world issues are just keeping you busy not sad, Gail.

A bit early for me.
I won't watch any show about animals being abused. 1) I get too mad, and 2) I get too depressed. I'd rather NOT know just how sick people are.

Hi folks...just passing through...got out of bed at 7.30pm... each time I got up during the day I lasted long enough to drink a gallon, go to the toilet and then fell back to sleep...Understand now why I saw so little of Lachie over the weekend. Now after 4 1/2 hours I'm ready for bed again ....hopefully you will see more of me tomorrow.
Hopefully I will be minus the headache, sore throat, fever and sleeping sickness... gotta get well enough to go into the MIFGS before the end of the week... haven't missed the garden show for years!

Some of the Garden Designs from last year are in the gallery on my page. Looking through the photo's here has sparked a few memories.

Gail, sending hugs your way, too. The past 3 months here have been up and down. Everything started Christmas day. Had to do a lot of thinking and decision making. Glad hubby was here to use as a sounding board. I'm surprised he has his ears left.

Heidi, with you about the animals. A few years back I made a forever "enemy" when I busted out a neighbor. She was trying to lead train a small dog using a choker. Have no problem with chokers if they're used right, but she was yanking the poor thing off the ground.

I am late starting my morning today. Well, I was up in the wee hours, a long time fore daylight so I went back to bed. Woke the second time to thunder in the distance. Today seems we shall have some little thunder showers. No grass cutting today.
Al did get his weedeating of the jungle, but did not get my lawnmower serviced and ready. We had unexpected guests, bearing gifts!
A friend was told at work to get rid of a quantity of milk having yesterday's or today's sell by date. He called to see if we used buttermilk. Yep, sure do. We found room for 3 each 1/2 gallon containers of buttermilk and 7 each 1/2 gallon containers of fat free milk. Good thing I had rearranged freezers yesterday morning! OH, I also got 2 "chugs" of whole milk, for my coffee. Being used to fat free, it tastes like cream to me hehehe. I really wanted the bottles, they are wide mouth enough to be washed and reused for tea and crystal light.
Something like this makes my day, partly cause I am a wee bit Scottish and "thrifty" to a fault, but also because I hate to see food go to waste. Now I am off to make use of some buttermilk and make buttermilk whole wheat biscuits! No bitter taste from the bi carb, Suzy, if I use the buttermilk hehehe. I sure do thank you for that article.

Becky and Heidi, join you in my reactions to animal abuse. I tried to rat out offenders, only to find our county really does not deal with this issue. No animal control, no SPCA, humane center is under budgeted, only accept, warehouse and euthanize unwanted pets if not adopted in 7 days. OH they do list pets on petfinder, but that is about all. I saw cattle in such poor condition on our ride around the county other day, I was shocked. I can only hope with grass now green, they can regain some weight.

Good afternoon all.
Sorry to hear that you are under the weather Bean. Hope you get well soon.
Heidi, pleased to hear that your back is feeling so good that you may not go for your Epidural. Last time that was due you were in agony for a while before hand.(if my memory is not playing tricks on me)
Nice friend there MizT a supply of milk which will probably last you a while, nice to have that much room in the freezer.
CRAFT has got to me now, but hope everyone else is doing OK

Heidi, I need to borrow your thunder and clouds smilie! We will not see the sun again till Friday according to forecasts! I will mildew by then
I am happy for you that back is better now, may it continue.
BEAN, get well soon, and till you do, please wash your hands before touching the keyboard! Some things we do not want to share. hehehe
Brenda, I have a separate upright freezer and I keep one shelf for milk and bread. Luckily shelf was empty, we had planned to go to Aldi's today. I can now postpone that trip!
I need to go to post office today, to mail some bills, and to pick up a prescription I forgot yesterday. Hope Al can drive me, roads are slick and slicker. I heard the road graders today, in the rain, fun fun.

Morning all!
MizT, so glad about the buttermilk and the article.
Bean, feel better soon. Sending cyber hugs - not real ones because I don't want what you got!
Becky, I hope the thinking and decision making have worked out okay in the end, though usually when you go through something that requires that much thinking there is a compromise mixed in at the end... sending hugs just in case.

You would be horrified if you could see one of my lawnmowers! She's probably 100 in horse years, and has no teeth. She and her partner have done such a good job mowing the lawn that they are now being supplemented. But I'm not supposed to supplement too much because they've both gotten really fat. Yesterday I gave them some bread that was sent over just for them and I swear she was talking to me while I was giving it to her! Oh this is good, don't stop now, more please...

I will still have to go in to the pain management Clinic tomorrow morning, to talk to the Doctor, but he'll agree with me that I don't need an epidural. He won't do it unless I have massive back pain, with pain shooting down both legs. And I don't.

MizTricia1/Alabama: If you're anywhere near the coast, like Bayou la Batre, tell your husband to buddy up with a shrimper. They have access to what's called "sea stores," cigarettes (and alcohol) that are intended--and I use the word loosely--for consumption outside the United States. In a sense, they're the reverse of "duty free," because, in theory, you're taking them outside the country.
Cartons of cigarettes are $30 or thereabouts.

Rolander...it's good that he isn't moving far away and you will still see him as often as you like.
That is how I feel now that Renae and family are here in Bundaberg.
Before that, the girls didn't know me from 1 visit to the next as they were 4 & a half hrs away.
Couldn't help her with the twins much either.
Yesterday, the girls at work were trying to think of ways to catch people out for April 1st.Glad I am off today.
