BRONI, Indi is a little girl doggie, and Lucky is a little boy doggie. Hard to keep them straight isn't it?

The sloshy thing got a workout, I did 3 big loads today. Most are dry and brought in already. the humidity is very low for us, 26%, so the last load should dry soon.

June, I got a chuckle about what the bull should know hehehe

Heidi, you have reason to be tired! I wondered if you fattened up your own steer for your freezer. Remember me saying there were 3 being fattened just down the road from us? Well, 2 have gone, only one left, just eating and walking around and lying under the shade tree. He has it made for some time longer, eh?

MizT, enjoyed receiving the gardening tip about frost.

Suzy, if they meant "more than one coach," wouldn't it be "Coaches' Award?" I was wondering about that, too.

Heidi, what a couple of busy days! Wish we had a You-Tube of the ram roping. I'm glad you have the bull, heifers and steers sorted out.

Hi Julie
Empty house! I don't dare say those words until the bus has actually left... just in case they come running back for something they forgot.

Ally has cross country today - only she's not allowed to run. She'll walk the course instead. I'm not sure if she'll do the 2,3 or 4 km course. I hope she has someone to walk with or it will be really boring! But she has sponsors so has to do it. It's weird combining cross country with a fund raiser - commercialising sport now!

I thought that too Julie, but it fits the e, almost. Maybe the engraving machine doesn't have an apostrophe? Maybe they ran out of space? It is the same on the perpetual trophy and on the little one she gets to keep.

Hi, Suzy! Fund-raising and sports have been combined for quite some time here. In fact, D1 will be running a marathon next month as a fund-raiser for a cancer research group. I hope Ally gets to walk the 2K, as I'm sure most of the others will be running. If she walks the 4K, all the runners (2K, 3K AND 4K) will be done before she finishes. Will adults be present during this activity? I would hate to think Ally could be walking alone. I wish her well. (I guess it's a good thing that Ebob doesn't need to do the walk with her sprained ankle.)

Suzy, at least they're consistent with the title between the perpetual and her personal trophy.

Now, I'm REALLY not going to be here for a while.

It's a school activity Julie - one that has been around for ever and ever. I remember suffering through cross country back in the day. That's why I was surprised when it turned into a fund raiser. Not all of the kids who are participating are sponsored though. It was up to them. There's another difference to my day, apart from walking to school in the snow in bare feet, cross country was compulsory until I was in year 10 - they only have to participate in Year 7 now, after that it's optional.

I remember cross country, fortunately for some reason I never had to do it, can't remember why could have been that I was training for school tennis or badminton team. No matter what kept me from it I will always be thankful.

News story of the day...

Another thing to blame on the dreaded monthly! Women shop more before they are 'due'. It could be to make ourselves feel better when our hormones are making us feel bad, or it could be, WAIT FOR IT, making ourselves attractive during our fertile period!!! And this study was done by a woman - traitor!

Good morning lovely SA8 people.
Suzy - congrats to Ebob. Also - hope Ally goes well in the cross-country today.
Rolanda - I must have missed something here - boy #1 is moving out? Are you happy or sad. I remember when my son moved out at 20 I thought I would be delirious - until he left. Then I missed him, then he came back twice before he finally left for good.

I mentioned on here last night that I had spoken to Brenda on Skype - what I forgot to say is that I saw Indi - behaving herself, lounging on the couch - wondering why Brenda was coming towards her carrying a big flat object (lap top). She is very gorgeous.

Hi everyone. I had krow to do tonight so I didn't get to the computer as early as I like. June, glad everybody is ok. It is scary to think that someone is in the house when you are home. Hope you get the camera back.
Hope Sharon is feeling better soon.

Hello everyone. Just been reading all the news -
June, what a terrible thing to happen: so glad you didn't know about it till later, as who knows what could have happened. So glad you are alright! Hope Sharon feels better soon.
CynB, glad that Colin has no broken bones, hope HE feels better soon.
Stella, I'm watching repeats of early seasons of "Lost" - it's on cable, 2 episodes, and only one ad break, so good value for me! I think we're halway through season 2. Rob thinks it's rubbish, but I enjoy it. :) The new episodes seem to be on late, so I've missed most of them.
Suzy, you certainly have a busy life! Hope the car gets fixed without problems.

Haven't done any reading, so will probably write an epic soon. Think I'll start now.

Dropping in - dentist visit went well, their teeth were very clean and in good condition - could have knocked me over with a feather. Ally had fun at the cross country except for one girl/official who told her off for not running, even after hearing she wasn't allowed to - a slight hiccup only I hear.

Night Julie, glad you stopped by, next time I'll offer you a cuppa

Night everyone!!

Suzy - I will sound stupid asking this - but why tissue night? I don't watch free-to-air TV (except the ABC or SBS, isn't THAT showing my age?) so I have no idea what's on.
I have my favourites on Foxtel and keep to them.

Oh, hi Broni - sorry didn't mean to ignore you. How was work today? Still not looking good. I'm noticing more and more that there's less work around. Both our neighbours, both tradesmen, are sitting aroung most days waiting for work. My SIL, a carpenter, is always worrying about his next job although so far is keeping going. My son, who works for a well known Sheet Metal Company, is watching all his workmates being put off. He believes he's still there because he's worked there for 18 years and has seniority. It's a worry to everyone. Our business is OK for the moment but if it were not for this property management group giving Col lots of work, we'd be struggling. We advertise for nil results some weeks.

I heard this on the radio this afternoon. A computer virus that is set to strike on 1st April. Apparently if you update your Windows regularly, it should be OK. But they really don't know what the consequences will be - or if it will be a fizzer like the Y2K bug.

Hi everyone. Haven't been around much because there are a lot of things going on here in the real world that have been keeping me very busy.
Hope all are well. Have been keeping a sneaky eye on you just to make sure you are all behaving yourselves.
