Judy, I love splashing in the puddles. It reminds me of being a kid. Our street used to flood after it rained giving all the kids plenty of places to splash. We also used to catch tadpoles in the puddles.

My friends flight finally took off, 2 hours late. Now that she is in the air, I am going to bed. Have an early day tomorrow and a busy weekend planned.

Afternoon all!
Judy, you got our rain, the sun has come out here, and blankets are making their way on to the line!

Hubby has been a dream today. I knew I married him for something!

Tami and Judy, it rains so rarely in SoCal, that whenever it did I used to take the kids outside to splash around in the puddles. My SIL used to freak! I was going to make them sick!

Suzy, my girls loved to splash around in the rain. If there was no thunder, I gave them an old umbrella, let them go barefoot If it was really warm, they put on bathing suits. My Ex thought it would make them sick also, never did!

Speaking of rain, ours is now officially gone, just had round 3 go through. I walked outside and saw the moon, yep, clear skis, and cooler now.

TAMI, hope your friend arrives safely, and you get to spend time with her tomorrow.

Judy, you sing nicely, I recognized what song you were singing

Good maeN friends, time to call it a day. Lots more on my list for tomorrow. Hope I get to some of the fun things, and not just the mundane ffuts.

Had to turn the computer off for a while because the thunder and lightning got a bit scary! Also had to put the lights on because it was almost black outside - every time anyone walked past the house the outside sensor lights came on. All calm again now, but it lasted quite a while. Well, the garden must have had a really good watering. :)

Well, should go and do some some of that stuff that always needs doing and is never finished ... sounds like a waste of time really, but people expect me to do it anyway! ;)
Bye for now! :)

Thinking positive thoughts for Ian and his surgeon tomorrow morning!

Have nearly caught up on comments, but past midnight and I'm really dragging. It's off to bed for me. Good Night, lovely people! Enjoy the rest of your day/night! I hope to see you all tomorrow.

A fairly successful day. After several days of rain I got the washing dry, my chairs were ready to be picked up.I am really happy with the result. They look like new! Even if it did cost a lot to get them done.
The meat market is near where we had to go for the chairs so I now have all the meat for the BBQ next Friday. A tight squeeze in my small freezer space. We will just have to eat a couple of things that I took out!!!

I then got a call to say my cupboards are ready for the laundry. I will have to do a bit of painting in the corner they are to fit into. I seem to have several rooms now part painted so I might have to consider finishing them when we get back from Tassie.

Keep singing Judy. That rain would be most welcome. I think you could do with a week of steady rain.
On 'getaway' last night they were showing the new shoots on the gum trees in the fire affected areas.
Pleased you had a successful school excursion Tami. Enjoy catching up with your friend.
I could use some of the room in your freezers MizT and Heidi!
Sleep tight Julie.

Sending positive vibes for Ian's surgery, Stella. Hope you get all the answers you are after, take a list of questions so you don't forget any.
When my Mum was going through the frozen shoulder(s!), the hardest thing she found was doing up her bra!!!

I have mentioned it before but when Mum had her frozen shoulder (both froze at different times), she had them manipulated under general anaesthetic. Not actual surgery, just like MAJOR physio while under. it helped no end and made her recovery time quite short.

BTW fellow SA8ers

Yes, it has been absolutely persisting down up here today. Our dirt roads are now down the bottom of the mountain. I was talking to Lachie on msn and had to cut short the convo due to the lightening and booming thunder. Then I had to drive to school for early pickup of D#3 (end of term) and the roads were a nightmare. Water pooling all over the place, luckily people were driving sensibly.

Hi again
Glad there is rain still falling, though it would be good if the road would stay in one piece.

Got to get the clothes off the line before the night air gets them, but thought I'd check in first.

Thinking about Ian tomorrow.

Broni, hope this time it is sorted. Not holding my breath, but crossing everything...

June, sounds like our place - half painted things all around.

Mine is better than it was, but still have to push the sucky thing around, wet some floors, and ekam some beds. Figured there was no point doing it until tomorrow because it would just need doing again!

June, I would see if I could make a tad of room for your meat, but my freezer is a bit full at the moment. Maybe room for a few pounds for a friend.

Gail, doing the bra with frozen shoulder was easy for me to fix. Front hooking bras and my first one Al brought home from the store for me. I think he got tired of doing me up daily

Broni, wishing an easy solution for your health problems. We need you back on the road to recovery!

Stella, sending good wishes and healing fairy dust for Ian. Hope the surgery is successful and he recovers quickly.

I am headed back to bed. It is still the wee hours here and I am getting sleepy again. Catch you again in a few hours.

Mum was very old school MizT, she would never have worn a front opener. What she used to do was do the hooks up at the front, spin the bra around and with a lot of grimacing and groaning, feed her arms through the straps. Painful, but nevertheless, effective.

Acupuncture and all that stuff, never gave it much creedence but it does help a hell off a lot.

Stella, please let us know how everything goes.

MizT, mine never got sick either! Nor did they hurt themselves playing in the yard...

Broni, couldn't you have hung around for an hour waiting for me?
