Gail, isn't exercise better if it's every other day? Though I think that depends on what you're doing and how much of it. Guess I should look into that...

There are too many days lately when it isn't going to happen so I will be going every day I can.

Just above that on the left hand side, it says Weather Warnings. Click on that and that is where I get the info.
It is very handy.

It is such a relief to be able to get here tonight! (Actually, it's about 1:15 a.m.) I tried several times during the day, but since I don't have SA bookmarked, I need to come in through the Easy page. And we ALL know now about the problems there today. I kept waiting to get an e-mail from someone else who couldn't get onto the site . . . but nothing. Methinks I had best bookmark the page now, except I'm on hubby's computer, not mine.

I just got the 'Service Unavailable' page an all my sudoku bookmarks. The site is having a few hiccups lately but seems ok now.

We got our things back from the Police yesterday. But my camera has gone.It was a Lumix TZ 15 and worth about $600. It also had a 4GB chip with lots of photos but most of them I had printed out. I did have a few that I took at the show on Saturday which I was planning to post on site.A lovely one with about 30 baby chickens which I thought would make an interesting jigsaw.!
I did get my loose change....$6. All the bank and credit cards were intact which did save a lot of hassle. Things could have been much worse.

I can use Ken's camera over Easter and make a decision before we go to Tassie if I get a new camera or borrow an old one we gave to our daughter to use till we get back. Or I could put a film in another camera that I do not use any more.

June, good to hear that you got your things back but not good that your camera was taken. Hope your insurance will cover the camera as it isn't very old.

June - sorry about your camera but I think the cards being intact is most important - that would have been a trial sorting them out.
Viv - that rain has moved north and has been lashing SE Qld. We've had 150mls. Apparently it looks like our dams will finally hit 50% so that's good.
But I wish I could send some of what we have here to Victoria, Gail.

Karin made it here to my place but when we went to see Mum, the car park was chockers and it was teeming so we didn't try to go in. I felt guilty but Mum wouldn't have known. Will try again tomorrow.

Daylight savings finishes Sunday morning Cyn. Hope Colin's ribs are getting better.
Because the door was ajar it was not a 'break and enter' so cannot claim on insurance. I do think we were very lucky.
Played bowls today in the showery rain. e had a good game and a good win. It was competition otherwise we would not have played in the rain!
I do not know what was growing on the bank behind us but tonight I have lots of hives. I will take an antihistamine in the morning!

I am really very sorry about the camera, but thankfully it was your 'things' they wanted and did not want to harm you. The cards etc are a blessing, I know what a drag it is dealing with them all.

June, so sorry about your camera. It's a shame to lost the photos as well as the camera. But thank goodness you don't have to cancel and replace all your cards.

Viv, the whole site has been messing up since yesterday, I guess the smilies are another casualty. They'll probably come back.

Mine are fine...now! They took ages to load and I reclicked the load button twice, sometimes it help.

June - these insurance companies love the fine print. I do understand why that is the case but it just makes a person angry that we pay exorbitant rates year in, year out and there's always something in the fine print that voids an honest person's claim.

Good morning all! Cloudy this morning but I think it is going to be a lovely day, warmest so far, up into the 50's! Between the rain all day yesterday and the sun today, I think it the last remnants of the snow will be gone! Yeah!

June, sorry about your camera. That's always one of my biggest fears. Maybe you should check pawn shops or someplace where they list things for sale. They probably didn't take it to use themselves. As for your insurance, I think they should cover it under theft. It shouldn't have to be "breaking and entering." Your possessions should be covered whether they are behind closed doors or not. What about all of your outside items - barbeque, lawnmower, etc. Or if you had a party and all of your jewelry was stolen. "Breaking and entering" is a criminal charge and should not have anything to do with the theft.

Ian is having surgery on his foot tomorrow morning. I don't have the time yet. Apparently, the operating room will call by dinner time to let us know the exact time. I'm nervous. I don't like doing this without a full explanation of everything. The doctor's examination and decision was so fast and then he was out of there. I'm going to try to catch him to get a better explanation of exactly what he's doing, how long the recuperation will be and what, if any, impact it will have on the sports he plays. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers tomorrow at this time. Thanks.

Fingers crossed for Ian tomorrow, I hope that this will be the end of his foot problem and that he gets back to his sports soon.

Need to get a cup of tea to get me moving this morning. I think I tried to do too much with my frozen shoulder yesterday. I'm trying to cure it myself since 8 weeks of physical therapy didn't really help.

Someone asked earlier about Tasmania. We will be going on 20 April.It will be nice to have a break away.

My sister called me on her way to Smuggler's Notch, VT last night. Her condo goes from Sunday to Sunday but she couldn't go until last night. We would have loved to use the empty condo but for my shoulder, Jerry's eye and Ian's foot. We're walking wounded, but not skiing wounded. Oh well, maybe next year.

My shoulder hasn't gotten any better. The second opinion doc did not recommend surgery. He said that it could take a few years to mobilize. Easy for him to say. He can put on his coat, pull up his pants, buckle his seat belt etc. It's just very frustrating!

I finally got around to finding a few Easter avatars. The process was too simple though. I'm sure I must have done something wrong. It's been a long time since I did it.
