Broni, ceiling fans in the bedrooms but floor fans in the other rooms. Not great for aircon on those superhot days - that's when we go to the library... they have the best aircon in town.

Night all!!!

HEIDI, did the threat of calling to report your hitch and trailer stolen get any action about getting them returned? I would be P*ssed too!

OK, folks, enough burns on the page, noone is allowed near anything HOT till you can learn to handle them correctly! Hot slidy thing? One hand to push it about, the other hand behind your back and no cheating on that, you hear? OR, Suzy, you do not iron your shirt while wearing it dear!! hehehe.

NOLA, glad your clean house makes you feel better. If you are still a bit down and need more therapy, my house if available for cleaning.

VIV, hope the computer is soon repaired. Should I sent Al and his computer repair kit? He is good at removing most viruses and other bugs. One question, how did you get online if your computer is fried??

HI vdV, nice to see you fly through!

TAMMY, oh no, that finger sounds painful. Hope it gets better soon and is not a major problem in class room!

Mariana, Al and I watched Polar Express last year and loved it, good choice for the kiddies!

Edna Above Average, sorry about your bruised ankle hope it heals nicely for you.

Shall we open a minor injury ward for all the casualties? Nursing care, and hot soup and pillows fluffed and a nice sunny veranda for afternoon cup of tea?

Snowed last night, about 1/2 inch, and still snowing lightly this morning. Temperatures rising though. Supposed to be a warm front heading our way.

Still searching for a vehicle. If I don't find one by C day, then we'll have to rent a car big enough to hold us to go down to my family's C party. Made up the list yesterday for the gift exchange for the nieces/nephews. We had 3 turn 19 this year so I thought there would be 3 less, but my brother's fiance has 2 kids and my other niece had a baby, so 3 more! We're having it at my brother's fiance's parents' house. They go to Florida for the winter and ever since my sister and brother moved, it's the only house big enough to hold 50+ people comfortably!

Well, off to continue my search for a car, find my C cards and list, clean the house, decorate the house, (Jerry brought all of the decorations in and they fill the dining room and there is only a small path to walk in the hallway)go to the docs, go to the store, pick up Ian from school, finish the hat and scarf for the little girl Ian's sponsoring .... Have a great day!

STELLA, you make me tired just thinking of all you have to do today! Hope you get it done friend.

A calico cat needs to be named Callie! Heidi, where did you get a new little girl for the menagerie? How old is she?

OK, I am off for a coffee refill and will check back later.

I'm up already, and having an interesting day. All of the pheasants were shipped yesterday (from different places) and a bunch were mis-routed by The USPS. They won't tell me where they were actually sent. I'm frustrated. These ARE living creatures.
MizT... I don't know much about the cat. She is an adult. She showed up here (People like to dump cats off on this road if they don't want them) and was really spooky until I called her. Then she ran up, purring. I placed her in a large crate with 2 bowls of food (1 dry, 1 canned), and she pretty much inhaled it. The crate bit is so she can get used to my other cats, without there being any fighting.

This bunch seems determined to go for an injury record. Especially burns. I am SO proud of myself for throwing my hot, slidy thing away years ago.
eaa... I got rid of all of my cows that kick. I've gotten too old and slow to tolerate that behavior.

IH's truck is not here. If he still has 2 functional brain cells, he'll be going after my hitch and trailer (1 hr. drive each way). Hopefully, he'll remember that I don't bluff. He had an unpleasant experience a number of years back, when he decided to go deer hunting with some friends, and he didn't have a permit. I told him that if he went, I'd report him to the cops. He went anyways. I told the cops where he was, what he was doing, where his vehicle was parked and the license number for the vehicle. The cops actually caught him in the act of shooting a deer. He was arrested.
I don't bluff.

Heidi, we get strays like your Callie coming around here, dogs more than cats though. More and more of them around now, as people abandon animals they can no longer afford to feed. the animals seem to know they will find food in this neighborhood. One neighbor and I take them to a local vet who will find them homes, if they are healthy. He likes a "donation" from the person dropping them off to help with the spaying or neutering, and usually I will pay for that much, but on occasion when I found animals and did not have money (waiting for Mr Al to sell something) I have convinced the doc to take them in, by telling him truthfully, if he cannot accept them, they go to the local animal shelter. We all know they only have 7 days there, to find a home, so most are put down! He is a good vet, and very inexpensive, he knows most people around here cannot pay a lot for keeping their dogs and cats well.

Mama cats who are " outside" cats of neighbors and have to fight for their share of food, will bring their kittens to us to feed when they are ready for food! Mom will not come to eat, but you can see her standing guard nearby. We have fed many litters, then found them homes, too. If neighbors will not take care of their cats, they have no right to them. I even found one kitten, who we rescued from a dog, a home even though it had stitches in it's belly and needed special care for a few weeks. We cannot keep the strays like you do, but we feed them till we get them back to normal size and good health, and then find them homes. Cannot stand to see someone mistreat animals!

MizT... you have my for your kindness to animals. It truly baffles me how people can be so hard hearted and cruel to animals that they have.

Hi everyone. Just a few quick posts then off to the grocery.

Gail, hope your daughter is feeling better soon.

Sounds like this place is turning into the burn ward. Don't know about anyone else, but I'd rather get a cut than a burn. Neither one is fun tho.
