I'm back.... again...... I fed my neighbors cattle, then came back to do some of my own feeding chores..... walked into the barn to see the 2 biggest Opossums I've ever seen, happily munching away on the poultry feed. And not letting my very upset birds eat.
There are 2 less 'possums on the planet.

Mama, you are so right. We forget sometimes, while wallowing in our own 'dramas', that there are so many more folks out there in worse situations than us. Jerry's post on easy about Bobby's coat really struck a cord with me.

Sorry Vici... they are a major threat to horses. They carry a disease called EPM, that is fatal to horses. If they p**p on the hay that gets fed to the horses, the horses contract EPM. It destroys their nerves, and they lose the ability to keep their balance, then walk, then stand. None of the damage is reversible. Some friends down the road lost a gorgeous Arabian mare to it. So it is always open season on Opossums here.

Hey - I knew you wouldn't kill any critter that it wasn't important to kill, Heidi. You're too much of a animal lover to just lightly take the life of any animal. Sounds like a horrid way for a horse to go. Reminds me of tetanus.

Had to reschedule my 'make me beautiful' session yesterday so I could meet up with Elsie.
I changed it to this arvo, and if I do not back away from the pooter now, there are a mountain of things that will not get done. Seems like forever ago that I had any sort of routine!

When I was in my 20's I had an older friend (by about 20 years) that I partied with and she use to lie about her age to say that she was younger. I always thought that was backwards because my thought was that she looked like sh*t for a young person. Now, if I tell people that I'm 60 (lie in the other direction) everyone thinks "MAN, she looks GREAT for 60!" Makes more sense to me that way. But of course, the truth is always the best way to go....hehehe

Just read on Easy that Rayray emailed Jane a few days ago saying he wasn't well.

On a serious note, very distressing to hear this morning of 19 Australian men arrested in a global internet child abuse ring. Child po*n video sharing involving children as young as 12 months. I understand that there are sickos in this world, but I do not understand how people like a QC and police officer who choose to arrest and prosecute others can themselves be serious criminals. Then such people get less punishment than the man on the street because of their 'services' to society. I want to be the judge who delivers the sentence.

I start Jury Duty next week. I want to be on THAT jury!!
