I just followed a link from the dog email Vici sent and am getting some good belly laughs from some of the videos...

Yes Suzy, C means he's average, but there were Ds and Bs. But this is a kid with above average ability, which is what I find so frustrating. (I want to choke him at the moment, so luckily he's at work). Back in primary school, he was doing national tests putting him in the top 2% of the nation's students in Science and the top 10% in Maths, now D and a C???? Then I look at him run, and see him easily beat kids that train seriously. I give up. Think I'll go back to my glass of wine and forget all about it until next year.

Susan, I have a glass of wine too. Early for me, but what the heck! I saw some results like that in primary school - and even high school - but mostly not on the actual school tests! Wish my d could run too.....

I haven't seen report cards yet. I think I might see at least one of them tomorrow...

I have now shut down the zillions of tabs that I have had open during the day today (exaggerate? me? never!) and am off for the night. Hope everyone had/has a good day!

I had my fingers crossed earlier for Lachie's interview, now I have them crossed that the report cards I might see tomorrow are okay..

Hi everyone.
Oh how I miss my computer.

If I am lucky maybe I will have it back and up and running by next Monday.
At least last night I finally started my chrissy cards.
My overseas ones have gone and also quite a few of my interstate ones etc.
I have also wrapped some chrissy presents too so that is something.
Spent all day today delivering my Avon orders in pouring rain.

I went to the doctors this morning for the results of my blood tests and scan of the thyroid.
My antibodies reading is high and she has put me on half a tablet once a day of thyroxine.
I am to return in 6 weeks for blood test to see how its going.
I shall have to google this subject as I know nothing about it.
The scan was okay though she said. She also said to use a small amount of iodine salt and eat some seafood.

Hi Viv - nice to see you about again even if it's for a short while. I HATE being without my pooter or even internet since I found this site.

Storm over here - we only got the edge of it and 5 mils. Broni would have got more than me but I think it vented it's fury more to the west of us. Storms are only bad for both Broni and I if they come in off the bay - then we get the brunt of them.

Looked fierce though - got some pics. Hubby downloading now, if any good will post tomorrow.

Gosh Cyn you are getting some storms lately.
We are lucky, we just seem to get the rain.
Talk about lunching next week. On Tuesday having lunch at Cafe 66 with a girlfriend.
On Wednesday a different cafe and another girlfriend. On the Thursday I will be putting in the last Avon order that is going to be delivered Christmas Eve !
Then on the Friday 19th the chrissy lunch at Cafe 66 with Jane and John.
I am looking forward to this one so much.

Tomorrow hubby turns 53. It is also supposed to be the staff chrissy party where he now works, which if it does not continue to rain, will be held at Oxley Beach.
I feel like a taxi here since he got this job but at least he got a job.
I returned to Centrelink and as he is now back in full time employment I am off the Newstart allowance, that I was not on really as no money was forthcoming from that for me for a few weeks.
Thank heavens for that, the Avon is keeping me very busy and I will continue to build my customer base I hope in the New Year.

I was out and about as I said today delivering my Avon and of course I had my 'boobie'bag with me. I could have sold half a dozen of them today.
People love it, ohh sooooooooooo cute Viv they say.

have not been around today. Cleaning lady came and we took all the boxes etc from under the spare beds and vaccuumed, moved all the chests drawers etc in the spare bedrooms. Took down the curtains to wash. Only problem I have piles of stuff ON the beds that has to be sorted etc.!

Yes Gail I am having them all at once. He ehehehhe

I then had lunch with one of my sisters before picking up the keys to my sons house in Sydney. Luckily the last tennant had left the house clean so there wasn't really anything to do. Good to check though. Then picked up Laura from daycare and back to Sharon's house for dinner. Now home and feeling a bit tired. Should be finishing my cards. . As long as they get posted over the weekend.

Son bought him a pushbike lock. He thought getting a pushbike would be a good idea but he is not so sure now. He ehehe Some days if its not raining and he feels like it he will ride to work and home again. I have to get him at lunchtime though, he has an hour and he wants to come home.

Yes speaking of cards I too should be doing some more.
Hubby and son have gone to visit BIL for his birthday, that is today.
Ethan is going well at the fish and chip shop.
She is giving the juniors a christmas party at the chinese restaurant which is just about two doors up from the chip shop next Monday night.Then she is having one separate for the seniors and herself and hubby and she has rostered Ethan on and said you will be the 'Senior'for this night. She said to him she is sure he is capable of the responsibility.

She's being a kiss-up to Ethan cos she got caught out doing the wrongen.

Pass on my wishes to Trevor too please Viv.He will certainly be having a better one than if it was a couple of weeks ago.

He recently had an assignment to do for English.
They had to compile a book.
He did one and called it The Aussie Slang and Terms Alphabet.
His english teacher said to him today who is your publisher ? and Ethan said 'what'? Apparently three librarians have seen it, this was a competition yet to be judged, and they have recommended it be published !!!

Just realised I had not checked the letter box since I got home. love this time of year and getting all the cards.
A big congratulations to the off spring of Suzy and Susan for there great report cards.

Yes Gail I thought that too about Ethan's boss but have to admit she has trained him from the start and saying he was doing well before this little hiccup about the uniforms.
I certainly hope she does not do a turn about and start taking it out on him.

Did I see mention that Mariana's Ben is going to Princeton University. We have a friend who lives nearby and took us all over the University about 7 years ago. A lovely area.

Just each letter of the alphabet and a picture and a definition.
For A he did Aa - Is for ankle-biter, then a pic of a kid grabbing someones leg, and underneath, Otherwise known as little kid.
Very simple but effective.
I got special thicker copy paper and we stapled it through the middle which was interesting to do.
