I sometimes call her "H*ll's Angel. *=e.

I haven't caught up with the posts yet but thought I'd tell you that our night out was a lot of fun! I took some photos, but nowhere near enough. I'm still trying to work out what the guy who was wearing a suit top and bow tie over a tutu, black stockings and joggers was up to when the ship went down!

We got put at the bosses table with all the big wigs. Since hubby is not a big wig we're wondering how we managed that... did they think he needed to be kept in line?

Julie, the party sounds great! I saw someone I hadn't seen in at least 23 years at ours last night - he was the DJ...

Gail, we used to have a 'free tip' day twice a year here. The lines were hours long. Now we get 2 coupons to go for 'free' (free as long as it doesn't weigh too much) at any time. It works much better. It would be nice to have them come and pick it up though, which I think is what happens for you.

MizT, I love the way you are handling your testing regime - very sensible and organised as I have come to expect from you. Mum's late partner didn't test as often as he was told to but managed to control his blood sugar by knowing what he could and couldn't eat.

Back from shopping. Now I just have to unload everything, and put it away. I went shopping with a headache, but at least it kept me awake while driving.

Susan, when I wrote that was thinking of my one aunt. She used to have a mat at the top of the porch steps, one right outside and one right inside of the front door. If you still brought something in on your shoe, she'd drag out the vacuum. In the last few years she's quit doing it.

June and Vici, we don't get to see the kids open the toys. We drop them off and the firefighters and volunteers deliver them to the households. I don't know who wraps them. I wish we could see them, but like the idea that at least we tried.

Mamacita, maybe I'm just a neb-nose or too much time on my hands at night. Or, maybe a little of both.

Becky - we're lucky to have you pulling it all together for us.
When I worked for our fire department, we collected toys and always sponsored a needy family in the area. Santa would ride the engine and pass out the gifts at the kids' homes. It always had me choked up if I was on duty and working the Santa engine.

I am having a relaxing morning. Went to read the paper and went back to sleep!!!

The village where I grew up, the lacal bush fire brigade drives around on Christmas morning with Santa and bags of sweets for any children who came outside. They were doing it 10 years ago and might still be doing it!

Fine and sunny here today finally.
We have had lots of rain over the past week.
I got my computer back from BIL last night and then sat up and started reloading all my programs.
Still not finished yet, but must go and make the bed now and do brekky dishes.
Then I must send some chrissy gifts to my sisters intersate.
Still lots of cards to do yet but I have a photo printed at least to put in the cards.
