Mornin' Gail! I'm all alone at the moment - Rob and Laura have gone to Bunnings (didn't ask me if I wanted to go ... grumble, grumble) I love Bunnings - so many things that might come in useful one day, so many things that look intiguing, so many pretty plants to kill in inventive ways.....

Thanks Gail - something else very poignant happened last night. After we'd sung H/B to Chloe and she'd made her cute attempt to cut the cake - her big sister Hayley stood up and remarked that she wanted to say something - her little toast was - "Happy Birthday to Chloe and I just LOVE it that we're all together again" - brought yet another tear to my eye and lots of clinking glasses!

Judy, my hubby would take you to Bunnings - he's always dragging me in there.

When I was in my teens there was a conflict in my family - don't really know the ins and outs of it, but we basically didn't see the grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles for years after that. Now some are talking again, but I feel as if I just lost most of my family - especially all the little cousins I was so fond of. I'm so glad for the big reconciliation CynB! :)

THE RAIN IS GLORIOUS....
I have been excitingly checking the capacity of our reservoirs supplying Melbourne... Out of the 9 there are only 2 that haven't had an increase [Sugerloaf at 54% and Silvan which is at 90% capacity] With all the rain our total storage is now up to 34% .... yeah, I know that isn't great but hey, that is an improvement....for now my garden is having a much needed drink.

we are off to see THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW tomorrow arvo....I love matinée sessions...particularly when it is wet outside...you get home at a reasonable hour and have time for other stuff...

We have had droughts here in South Florida so I know how you feel, Bean. Lake Okeechobee finally got to where it needed to be early this summer. It had been several feet below where it should be.

Bean, I love Rocky Horror. A friend bought it for me on DVD. When it came out you HAD to see it at midnight. The first time I saw it I was 17 and went with a group of friends. I was thrilled to have a curfew that was 2:30 am. That was the latest up until that time. Have a great time at the movie.

The water restrictions are finally making people value our most precious resource...I doubt we will ever see our reservoirs reach 50% again...the demands are too great with the growth of the city.
Have looked up Lake Okeechobee and tried to compare it to our dams but the different measuring units are hurting my brain....it looks big...hehe

Shoot, just hit the wrong key and klost a nicelong post. Mostly said, I did not gert enough done today, and cannot catch up tomorrow, I am going to my sisters for overnight. I think I will go to bed early so I can get a early start tomorrow.

I might get a chance tomorrow night to get on their computer, we will see. If not, see you all Sunday night, everyone take care.

Tami we are going to another live show...we can't get enough of it out here...first saw it way back 30yrs ago and have lost track of the number times I have seen it since...live shows and movie...I am not even sure who is in this production...I know I will love it anyway...will never forget my very first show...was sitting in the very front row and could have reached out and stroked Frankenfurters you know what... boy...talk about in your face...very risqué for back then

Glad you're getting much-needed rain in Vic. All the storms and rain we've had has increased Brisbane's Dam capacity lately - It was dangerously low last year and is still only at about 45% but that's heaps better than it was.

just got back from benny's game. he started and did fairly well. i want him to shoot more baskets, but i guess he has to do what his coach tells him. now i need to get the little ones in bed , then write out the christmas letter and cards. i got a long night ahead of me!

Mariana, I got my kids in bed now there is noone left to tuck me in. Hubby is working late so I guess I will have to tuck myself in. Bean have a great time at the show. I also love the live performance that goes on with the movie and the people in the audience who dress up. Night all.

Just watched a DVD, and now need to feed the dogs. It never ends. Some days I wish they could feed themselves. But again, they wish they could, too.

Dogs are eating... nobody here.... might as well put in another DVD. and .

CynB - no, I did see them, but not till I was at Uni. Dad took me over there one day - it felt pretty weird, though, and I also felt like I was being disloyal to my Mum - not that she would have made any comment; she knew Dad still visited them - as long as he didn't expect her to go! It was a fairly big family, then suddenly we were on our own. Mum was quite happy - she never liked them much - but I must say I found it very difficult.

I've decided what I'm going to wear. I've stolen the snow white skirt from Ally, a white shirt tied at the waist, dirty brown work type boots (yes, I own those - I is an engineer) and a bow tied in my hair with raggedy white cloth - yep, a scullery maid.

Heidi, love your crocodiles. With only 2 dogs we can get the kids to feed them. I can't imagine feeding your bunch - especially since you said they get hot food!

Gail, discovered today i don't have any 'formal' clothes. If I'm ever invited to anything formal I will have to go shopping! I don't even have a suit that fits me anymore - though I tried.
