Hi everyone, Caught up with reading before I get back to painting! Hubby has gone out so looks like I do it if I want it finished!
Suzy, hope you have a good trip to B'ball.
The brother of the Australians who lost his life in Mumbai was tied up in b'ball here. The chap who died grew up a few streets away from where we live and went to the local primary school. A bit older than our children and we did not know him (only his brother). It was all getting very close to home as we talk to people who do know the family.

Oh June... how sad and how awful! I've never figured out what terrorists are trying to prove. Their killings never make people sympathetic to their cause.

Only 2 hours of freedom left. And I was enjoying the lack of stress SO much, too.

Hi Bean, it was great talking to you yesterday. And by the way we have a deal with Bigpond re phone and broadband and interstate calls only cost $1 for about 40 minutes!
Painting is progressing. First coat on the wall. Habby can do the second coat and I have the two coats on the woodwork.Give it a couple of days to harden and then I can start taking things back out of baxes etc.

Liz has some good photos of yesterdays gathering.

Hi, Everyone! Bean, it's perfectly all right for you to have the same avatar! What's the likelihood we'll both be using it at the same time? Anyway, would anyone care if we did? Please feel free to use it. (I have a couple of wreaths, a couple of trees, an ornament, a bell, etc., so many to choose from.)

This avatar reminds me of our C tree when I was growing up. There was 1 strand of lights like this. I'm not sure what they were called, but we called them "bubble lights." It's one of my favorite C avatars. (If anyone else has chosen it as an avatar, please feel free to use it!)

June, good on you for getting so much painting done!

Oh, dear, Heidi, less than an hour left? And you're having to use it to feed the calves? It should have been spent in a tub, soaking, with a cup of hot cocoa and some candles. Speaking of candles, let's see if I have one.

Bean, they're not all from today! See, it would be no problem for you to use an avatar that's the same. I don't think people identify posts solely by the avatar, especially when we're having so much fun changing them!

I like baubles and balls as well...particularly Lindt chocolate balls....see..I can drag chocolate into any conversation.
That has just reminded me...Kate brought over the most decadent chocolate cake...you needed a bucket of cream to help it down it was so rich....hehe..
[poor Liz...she may not be game to go to WW this week]

My goodness, everyone's gone crazy with 'C' avatars. I thought I'd gone over the top with 4. But I can't get into the festive mood.
Hubby has decided he won't put up the this year and with the weather we've been having it's just as well but we won't be popular in the neighbourhood as ours were the best in this little estate.

How many Christmas avatars do you have Julie... I'm going to have to do a bit more shopping and bit more resizing if I go ahead with that plan..
I have decided which one to start off with tomorrow...and of course it will have to be a santa on the 24th....

I like your ornament, Bean! And I like your bright C lights, CynB! Hubby says we're not putting up a tree either, so must be satisfied with the artificial wreaths hanging under outside lights.

It's our community Xmas party this afternoon and we traditionally turn our lights on for them as they go home. I expect when we get there we'll have the whole neighbourhood on our backs about no lights! Hubby can field the enquiries.

Anybody got a Bah Humbug smiley????

I can't even put up the because it is a fibre optic one and a certain little puppy will think it's chewable. Maybe next year.

There are a total of 13 C avatars that have been submitted and approved over the last couple of weeks. I have others to resize and submit. I was also thinking of a different avatar each day of December leading up to C.

hi CynB...oh well...I can understand why he doesn't want to hang the lights at home...but at least you can decorate here...LOL

I'm not surprised you are finding it hard to find the spirit and to be festive with the mess that the storms have been creating up there. Puts a dampener on things in more ways than one...

CynB, I like your little tree. I understand about a certain little puppy in your house. Trees and their ornaments are such magnets! We have 2 cats and can't put things too low on the tree. But, not to worry this year, as we aren't going to have the tree.
