The new cows have shelter again. It's just at the freezing line, and with a miserable, icy mist. Days like this, I wouldn't want to be a cow.

The collies are eating now. As soon as they finish, I'm trundling off to bed.

I haven't had a chance to do the puzzles yet today. I'm hoping to get to them after netball... I will have to make a point of it now!

I went shopping today and bought a birthday present! I still haven't got to the christmas stuff, and we will be travelling to Sydney for a party next Saturday, back to Wollongong for baseball Sunday morning... Guess I'm going to be doing it on my own again this year!

I think Gath must have automated avatar approval because I just had 5 approved in about 5 minutes! Either that or I was lucky enough to catch him in avatar approval mode...

Well I've turned my light on because when I come back I will officially be here! That will be after netball and dinner...

once again, i am posting and dashing. my days have been very full! have been singing the messiah for a couple of nights and next week we have rehersals with the symphony to prepare for fri and sat performances. i hope my voice holds up!

oh we are singing the mozart requiem this weekend.
i'm sure i'm missing all kinds of very important happenings here! i hate not knowing what's going in! i will have my reading work all cut out for me tomorrow. hope to check in then.

I'm so excited - I am so happy!!!!
Anyone who knows anything about me or has looked through my photo gallery will know that I have a son who has three daughters (aged 8,7 & almost 3) who I haven't seen in two and a half years.
He rang me today - while I was walking around K Mart. I am seeing him on Wednesday to have a long talk but he assures me all will be fine. We were both blubbering to one another on the phone. I don't know what will happen but the lines of communication are finally open and my son and I told each other that we loved each other. I feel like a giant weight has been lifted off me.

BTW - it was HIS choice to cut me from his life not mine. We have a lot of talking to do but hopefully we will be able to ensure that this never happens again.

Woo Hoo Cyn! Blubbering right along with you! My bro did that, cut us all out. He's gone a bit funny again, but will talk to us now.

Suzy - this kind of thing had never happened in our family. I'm sure it was 'outside influences' and I guess he was weak not to stand up for his family. But I do think it took a lot of courage to make that call today, not sure what reaction he would get. But what other reaction could a mother have. I want my son and his girls back - full stop!

I hope things sort themselves out with your brother, Suzy. I hate to think of any family going throught the pain that Colin, Karin (d) and I have been through.

I am really happy for you Cyn. My husband didn't speak to his nephew for several years - because of me. He came home from work one day and found me in tears because they had been making multiple phone calls to take turns to tell me off. They had been saying all kinds of other stuff to others about me too. I told him that I didn't want to be the cause of him not talking to them, please get in touch, but he told me that they had said some very cruel and hurtful things to him too and he'd rather that wasn't in our lives. One day they just started talking again. I don't think they even talked about what happened...

Cyn, I understand how excited you must be. So hard to not see your son and grandies for all that time. Hope it is a wonderful re union, and just in time for Christmas.

And just in time for the little one's 3rd birthday on 11th December. Haven't seen her since she was 9 months old - how she will have changed. And she won't know us!
I'm jumping the gun here - have to get through Wednesday yet.

We have trees behind (west) us so walked to the next street but there is a high haze in the sky and NO stars or moon. I am disappointed.
Maybe a good omen for yoy CynB.
