This particular charity has called before. We agreed to send in a donation but they sent the forms to the wrong address - as we found out when they called us up and abused us for not sending the money. The woman continued to be rude after it was established that it was their error. They don't get our money anymore.

Heidi - there was never any explanation for the Christmas sightings. I distinctly remembering seeing the tracks in the snow. I can only assume that my grandfather and his brother (my great uncle lived with my grandparents) devised something to make those tracks. We never got any explanation - even as adults. But I'm not sure any of the 6 of us really PRESSED for the explanation. As to my sister seeing Santa, sled and reindeer come over the top of the hill, I assume she just had a vivid dream. (I think she was 5 or 6 at the time.)

Congrats on winning the first bid for the red golden pheasants, Heidi!

Thanks for sharing your Christmas story, Mamacita! I can just imagine being on the roof after a few beers - especially if there was snow on the roof.

Broni, I like your new avatar!

Suzy, thank you for the explanation of the coursework your hubby is doing. I like his sense of humor.

Heidi, I don't know if Broni is still around. Her light isn't on. (Neither is yours. Or did I forget to ask you to be my friend?) I think it's a basset hound sniffing an ornament or a light on the Christmas tree.

Now that you've described it, I can make out the Basset checking out the tree. I hope it's a female, or things could get ugly.

You're so right, Heidi! I assume it's female because Bella is a female! How have you been feeling Heidi? Does a little extra sleep (when you can get it) help?

I'm feeling pretty good now. I'm back to normal hours of sleep, but I don't have all my energy back yet. But it's a good start.

The bidding has slowed down, but I expect my competitor will wait until the last few seconds for her next raise.

There are 33 minutes to go. The bidding is at the maximum I set earlier. If I raise it now, I bid against myself. That's another difference from eBay.

Sorry got sidetracked in the garden. Heidi, Julie is right about my avatar it came out a bit small. don't think this one is much bigger. Yikes I hope it's a female otherwise a present under the tree I don't want hehe!

Sorry, Heidi, I forgot to refresh the page. It's getting close to the end of bidding on the next pair. Good luck!

Hi, Broni! I had to look pretty closely to make out your avatar, but it's cute! It's too bad avatars can't be a bit bigger, but I guess maybe 50 x 50 is the industry standard.
