Ian's concert was lovely last night. It was late though. Didn't get home until after 10pm.

I just lost everything got an error page saying the site is overloaded
they trying to tell us we talk too much

I just read a statement he made today, saying that he is one of the lucky ones who is responding well to the treatment. He said that he is winning the fight against pancreatic cancer!

Heidi, the collies in your county must all know you and hope to one day live at your "Collie Country" resort. Does the feed company at least give you a bulk rate when you buy their food?

Stella, I hope Ian's concert was a smashing success! I remember how busy December (and May) were when our children were at home - lots of extra concerts/recitals! Be sure you take care of yourself! (I hope your injuries are healing!)

Yes, the avatar was our tree last year. It looked a little dark so I switched it.

Heidi, Kentucky AND Tennessee? I hope you aren't the only one taking in the dogs! Are you considered foster or "forever home?" I hope some of the dogs that come into the rescue are adopted! Our neighbor/friend has a rescue organization which started out as labrador rescue, but is essentially all-breed now (and some cats/kittens). She just can't say no, especially when an animal is in or going to a kill shelter.

Stella, I was going to make an avatar of that same ornament! (or maybe I already did?) We must shop at the same picture store.

Julie, are those tree ornaments on your avatar? Very pretty! The concert was great and for one number they had some faculty join them and they did a twisted rendition of the "Night Before Christmas." Brother Dan read the poem and at certain points they would play music that would be a funny interpretation of the verse.

As for my injuries, I'm afraid not a whole lot has improved. In fact, my shoulder is worse. But you learn to compensate, most of the time.

My avatar is one I did last year and it is my tree. This year I could not get the fibre optics to work so bought some LED lights.

have just had my sis on the phone,
the family xmas celebrations that we normally have a week or so before xmas, has not been organised yet, and the fueds have begun, as one cant make it on this date and the other not on that date, now one sil has said well you can never get this whole family together at one time.
for the last 6 years I know for sure we have all been together.

Ally's class is doing a play for the end of year presentation night. She is playing Snow White in Robin the Hood. I said huh? Apparently Robin the Hood steals from the rich and the poor! Now I get to make her a snow white costume... it's going to be simple - elastic waist - whether she likes it or not - with a blue t-shirt adapted to look like the top of the dress.

Seems since we have lost the parents,
it doesnt seem so important anymore,
feels like we will all drift apart over the next few years
how very sad

Stella... I have found that if you use a picture in, say, gif format, to shrink to avatar size, it usually comes out black. jpg works well, and jpeg sometimes works. Also, png is good for avatars, if I remember.

As it is I will only see my sis on Christmas day
but none of my brothers, they are all doing there own thing...
good for them - funny thing not one of them has asked what I am doing this year, I am so greatful I have my sister, or I would be on my pat malone..

I just got a phone call, embarrassing me. It seems that the people I just leased that acre to are calling everyone they know and telling them that I am wonderful. I was hoping that it could have been kept quieter around the neighborhood.

Liz, some people are just so self involved that they forget about others. My family gets together every year but it is hard because there are so many of us. We're trying to keep the tradition going as long as possible.
