Vici, my warmest thanks for your message about Holmes. We miss him terribly--he was such a special, peaceful cat, and courageous until the end. He was a giver, so letting him go on Valentine's Day was our final act of love ... only animal lovers would get our sorrow, so thanks for being there and understanding. Yes, let's meet our companions on the other side one day!

Thank you for the birthday wishes! It's so nice to get wishes from all of my Sudoku family!
(I will probably not get another cat for awhile. Sad about that, but the loss of beloved Nigel has coincided with my husband retiring in a year or so and we are travel-starved due to Nigel's intensive diabetic care requirements.)

Vici, it sounds like your husband and mine have similar interest/skills. My husband designed and built our home. Where did your brother buy the property to build his home on?

I know Shake Ridge Road well. One of my daughters lives on Shake Ridge. I think your brother's property must be up towards Hwy 88 and Dew Drop - where my husband was stationed with CDF (now Cal Fire) for many years. Welcome to Amador County - via your brother!
