I know it wasn't intended & the comment may not have been visible to you when you said something about "pushing really hard" to get to the new page (p5 to 6 if my short term memory is correct!!!). The previous comment was 9lb something about Bailey, Anne's new grandson! Both my kids weighed in at around 6lb & pushing for that was hard!! I had weird memories when I saw your comment, not just about me pushing babies out but about me encouraging others to "push hard" when I was doing midwifery!!!!

The love & care shown on this site when people need support is overwhelming. You all are ! It is to be treasured. I will pass along all the good thoughts on to her. To be mourning and seriously ill at the same time has been difficult to say the least. Eight weeks of IV antibiotics...

Shosho, I feel for you. You should not have been left that long! That is not something I'd want to remember! My Daughter was premature, my son was early! My mother had 5 kids we were all around the 10lb mark! I delivered 13lb baby during my midwifery years, it slipped out as though it were really small! It was baby no 9 or 10 for Mum!!!

Hi Sharon! I had to get used to that name when Jano referred to you as Sharon instead of Shosho. Karen, Jano, & I had a good time together which included many hours driving around in different places all the way north to almost Ocala one day & all the way south to Sarasota another day! Have you decided yet if you are definitely going to drive from NC to New Smyrna Beach with your grandson? If so, do you know yet what dates you will be there? Rob & I are flying up to Michigan to spend some time with his brother who lives there & his sister who will be coming from Montana. We'll be gone July 1-5. Please keep me posted on your plans. Thanks. Hope you're having a good break this weekend to give you strength to get through those last few days of school!

Hi, Shosho! The 28th is our anniversary, but I'm free for lunch (Jaime and I will be going out to dinner to celebrate), so by all means, let's plan to get together! I don't have a cell phone, but I'll be home waiting to hear from you when you get to Georgia. I don't remember if I gave you my number, but I'll send it by private message. Call when you hit the GA border and I'll give you directions to a good meeting place (exit 29 - so it'll be about a half hour drive once you cross the GA border). I'm really looking forward to meeting you!!! By the way, do you prefer to be called by your real name, Sharon? I remember how excited you were when you were nicknamed "Shosho" (by Wagdy, I believe). See you soon!!!

And congratulations on the birth of Bailey! Apparently, I missed the big news when I was in St. Augustine earlier this week.

Hi shosho. I've been slowly skimming archives to catch up, and your post a while back about your brother and alimony stuck in my head. I'm often astounded by the strange decisions made by the powers that be. Hopefully he and his young family will get through this, and hopefully the ex will herself be in his position one day and realise what she's done. How anyone could drain (steal from) their own children's bank accounts is beyond me. I think they're better off without her anyway.

Shosho, thank for your efforts to track down a sheep companion for me. However, the adoption procedure for cyber-sheep did not go too well.
Maybe they are too strict about the kind of cyber-home they consider is acceptable? Members of the school of sheep already in residence here were most disappointed about not being able to meet a new companion. They were so looking forward to making friends with the new arrival.

Hi, Shosho! I seem to be missing you by minutes! I've been posting messages to you on "easy" right after you post, but I don't know if you've been reading them. I know that you return to LA tomorrow, and I just wanted to make sure you were taking advantage of all the beautiful things to see and do in coastal North Carolina!!! Have you visited the USS North Carolina in Wilmington? It's fantastic! I know you visited the historic port city of Beaufort, but have you been to the beach on Emerald Isle? There really are tons of neat things in that area! It was great meeting you, and I look forward to seeing your pictures when you get back home!

Shosho,
Little Plum lit up at the word "perseverance" because she knew when we signed up that it wasn't about winning, it was about finishing.
She was even the first one in the family to use the word "perseverance" to describe what her goal was going to be.
You just complemented her on what she's most proud about accomplishing!
Thank you.

Hi Shosho... I hope to take some photos this weekend, after the new old Collies arrive. I already have 12 Collies, so it will be a full house. The Collies give unconditional love, and the funny thing is, the more love you give and get, the greater your capacity for love is. (I know... garbled sentence).
The horses give love, as well as the cats and a few cows. But the others have their own ways of rewarding me. For instance, the ewe who nearly died and her baby. While mama was down, the lamb was frantic - standing next to her crying and baaa-ing. Once mama was able to get to her feet, the baby nursed, then bounced and leaped around the pen with happiness. THAT is a HUGE reward.
