It seems that SA7 is getting old and slow. It is time for a new page. Welcome to SA8.

It goes for about 8 minutes, but it's definitely time well-spent!

Happy Easter to everyone, and those who are going away, have a wonderful time.
I will be driving to Adelaide tomorrow so wont be back on till Monday evening.
Julie, you certainly were here early!
Smegging heck, I love Red dwarf too.
Has anyone here ever seen the show Scrapheap Challenge? The presenter of that show, Robert Llewellyn, is Kryton. So weird to see him as a person!

Better go now, D#1 and I are going Easter shopping...nothing like leaving things till the last minute! Not sure when we will give them out, as I will not be here on Sunday! Maybe at the family dinner on Tuesday.
Catch you later tonight.

Clothes on the line, banana bread in the oven (got a box of bananas given to us last night, had to do something to use up a bunch of them), fresh cup of coffee made.... aaaah

Suzy, you are very good! Can I have some banana bread, please? I used to make it a lot, but Rob's trying to lose weight, so I feel guilty if I bake anything yummy.

Judy, Ally insists I make it a lot more than I want to, though I still don't make it as often as she'd like. If I bring bananas into the house she quarantines them (pardon the pun!) and says no one can have any until I make banana bread. Because I had so many bananas I made a double batch this time. Do you know if it freezes okay or should we eat it all quickly?

Hello SA8.... May your family gatherings be wonderful whether its a Passover Seder or an Easter dinner...have fun and stay safe....
I'm going to immerse myself in movies in the next several days.... What would have been our 53rd wedding anniversary will occur on the 14Th, so I have given myself the new kitchen floor as my gift and the movies as a shared thing we enjoyed...Oh yes, I'll include wine and chocolate as well as flowers....Sully will be smiling down and my days will move past another "first" without too much pain due to pleasant memories. The next 'first will be my birthday, and that will be spent celebrating my niece's bachelorette party and other family birthdays in Los Vegas next month....So far so good...The final "first", will mark the anniversary of his death on July 2ND....that will be the most difficult, so I need your help in ways that will help me get past the hurt, while remembering the fun...fair warning being given for ideas to come in droves...Peace

Gail,safe travels.
Happy Easter to you all, and enjoy your Passover dinner Tami and family. . Not sure if I will have much time to get here for the next 24 hours.
Feel B*ggered at the moment. Shopped this morning and I think I have food for an army. Ken got the BBQ working so do not have to buy a new one yet. Yard all done, still working on the sun room. Kithchen and our bedroom to go. Hope no one notices all the dusting that has not been
done!
Will prepare as much food as I can tonight.

I am very good at throwing things in 'boxes' when I am in a hurry. I have just been trying to get things out of the sunroom and I seem to have all these 'boxes' of mainly rubbish and once again do not have time to sort, the pile grows Greeeeeeeee.

Lachlan's music camp concert was great - I don't know how many kids participated but there were 3 orchestras. Each one performed 2 pieces. His lot did Beethoven's 9th and did really well for a group of 9-11yo's most of whom have only been learning their instrument this term. Then all 3 groups joined into a great little choir. It was a nice afternoon and the kids enjoyed the opportunity to show off their new skills to their families.

Evening all!
Sounds wonderful Cyn. Don't tell anyone, but I actually enjoy that kind of thing....

June, I promise to leave my glasses off and will have no idea how much dust you have around!

I've put spare camera batteries in my bag.

And that's all I've done. No bags packed. No clothes thought about. Nothing. Hope we actually make it!

Mamacita, I can't remember exactly what I said now, but it involved being amazed at how appropriately you celebrate your 'firsts'. I wonder if July 2nd could be spent in a similar way to the last one - surrounded by family and friends?

I had to sign in for each post last night.

Just got the turkey poults. They were in transit too long. Only 10 out of 16 are alive, and some of those are in bad shape. The chicks still haven't arrived, and they're overdue. Not good.
